(KGTV) - People who felt Saturday’s 7.1 earthquake in Ridgecrest posted images of the tremor on social media. The quake, which struck just after 8 p.m., was felt as far away as Mexico and Nevada. (KGTV) -- The first major storm of the season moved into San Diego County Friday and is expected to bring cool and rainy weather to the region.According to the National Weather Service, the storm could dump as much as an inch of rain along the coast. Other parts of the county could see up to four inches of rain.Accompanying the rain are much cooler temperatures, set to trend 10 to 20 degrees below normal.RELATED: Check today's forecast in your areaIn addition to rain, the area surrounding Palomar could see up to an inch of snow with Mt. Laguna expected to receive up to two inches, the National Weather Service says.Windy conditions are expected to sweep through San Diego County’s mountains and deserts, sparking a wind advisory through Sunday night at 10 p.m.Meanwhile, along the coast, a high surf advisory has been issued as waves up to four to nine feet are expected. A 26-year-old playing in the final game of the regular season for the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons' G League affiliate, collapsed on Saturday in the closing minute of the game. After two nights in the hospital, Zeke Upshaw died on Monday following the on-court incident. A cause of death was not announced. Upshaw had scored 11 points in Saturday's game, and helped his team qualify for the the league's playoff. A broadcast of the incident shows Upshaw collapsing on the defensive end of the court as his team took possession of the basketball. Immediately, referees stopped play as trainers ran to Upshaw's side. It only took several minutes for Upshaw to be placed on a stretcher.The G League has postponed the start of its playoff from Tuesday to Friday."Zeke was an outstanding young man whose powerful belief in himself and uncommon perseverance led to a successful professional basketball career," G League president Malcolm Turner said in a statement. "A beloved member of the Grand Rapids Drive, Zeke's continuous improvement and tireless work ethic were hallmarks of his career. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends and the Drive organization."Upshaw played collegiately for three seasons at Illinois State before transferring to Hofstra. (KGTV) - The nation responded Saturday after a mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart, with people asking how to help the victims. The El Paso Police Department tweeted “blood needed urgently” hours after the shooting, due to the multiple victims at El Paso hospitals. Vitalant in El Paso, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit blood service providers, sent 90 units of blood to one of the two hospitals. Several other hospitals requested additional blood, the group reported.
