LA MESA (CNS) - One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 8 in La Mesa and lanes of the freeway were blocked this morning until further notice.The crash occurred near state Route 125 at 9:55 p.m. Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.A witness told officers one vehicle was being driven recklessly just before hitting the center divider wall.The crash blocked three westbound lanes of the freeway and a SigAlert was issued at 10:30 p.m., the CHP said.The age, gender, and name of the victim was not disclosed. 557

She’s been writing letters to lawmakers and calling the governor to demand action.To make a difference, Wright also wants her East County neighbors to talk part in a walk-out. She would like to see residents leave their homes and stop using power between 4 and 9 p.m., twice a month.“Hit them in the pocketbooks because money talks and when you start losing money they start paying attention. LEMON GROVE (CNS) - The Lemon Grove Goodwill store had to be evacuated today after authorities received a report of a grenade being found.Dispatchers were told around 10:30 a.m. that someone found a possibly-functional grenade at the Goodwill on Broadway near Lemon Grove Avenue, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.The Bomb and Arson Unit went to the store to investigate.A sheriff's department spokesman said he couldn't confirm if the grenade was determined to be live or not, but said investigators had cleared the scene and the store was safe to enter. 584
