SpaceX and NASA teamed up again this weekend to launch astronauts into space — and officials hope that this weekend's launch becomes a routine that's repeated often in the years to come.Sunday's mission launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 7:27 p.m. EST. It was originally scheduled for Saturday evening, but pushed back because of onshore winds and recovery operations, according to NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.Earlier this year, two NASA astronauts launched into space aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. The historic launch marked the first time that a private company in the U.S. had launched astronauts into space and marked the first launch with humans aboard from U.S. soil in about a decade.But the May launch was still considered a trial run. According to CNN, that first trip was considered a "demonstration" mission and was flown by two former military test pilots.Dubbed "Crew-1," Sunday's launch is how officials picture the future partnership of NASA and SpaceX to look in the years to come. Southwest Airlines says it has canceled roughly 1 per cent of its scheduled flights as it carries out inspections prompted by an engine failure that led to a passenger's death last week. About 40 flights were impacted.The affected Southwest Boeing 737 took off Tuesday morning from New York, headed for Dallas. About 20 minutes into the flight, at about 32,500 feet, a fan blade broke off the engine and shrapnel shattered a window.Jennifer Riordan, 43, and a mother of two, was almost sucked out of the broken window and pulled back inside by fellow passengers. She died from blunt force trauma at a hospital after the plane's emergency landing in Philadelphia. 670

Six people were shot Sunday afternoon about half a mile away from TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.The shooting occurred at a laundromat at A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and Pippin Street.Currently, there is no suspect in custody but authorities believe the shooter was in a gray or silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissa Altima or Maxima. Authorities also said the shooting may be gang-related.The Jaguars are playing the Houston Texans today. The shooting will not impact the game. (KGTV) - A local woman believes she was the target of a so-called "slider" targeting drivers at gas stations.Just past noon on Wednesday at the Arco on Jamacha Road, Blanca Maye finished filling up and then noticed a white sedan pull up next to her.Inside the car was a casually dressed man, about 30 years old. She said he glanced at her car a few times and that made her pause. She locked up her car, after collecting some trash from it.MAP: Track crime in your neighborhood"I was walking toward the trash can, and I remember hearing someone grab my door handle," said Maye.She says when she looked back there he was: the same man right next to her door, quickly walking away toward the cashier.Upset, Maye stared at him and then drove away with her purse safely sitting on the floor of her car. Others haven't been so lucky.  Recently, police in the Los Angeles area sent out video of "sliders" in action: thieves pulling up - and while the driver is distracted - getting low and sneaking toward the car to steal valuables. Police warned these incidents on the rise in Southern California and the target is usually women who are alone."People don't expect this to happen at gas station.
