German actor Karin Dor, who played Helga Brandt in the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice," died Monday, according to the Associated Press.Dor, 79, played a would-be assassin in the 1967 film. General Electric is cutting its stock dividend for only the second time since the Great Depression.The company announced Monday that it will cut the dividend from 24 cents to 12 cents per share.GE is one of America's most widely held stocks, and countless shareholders, including retirees, rely on the dividend payments. But the company is under enormous pressure to restore investor confidence. The stock has lost a third of its value this year.The company also cut its dividend in 2009, during the Great Recession. But dividend cuts are rare these days. Many companies are increasing them because the U.S. economy is healthy and the stock market is booming.GE plans an update for investors Monday morning and is expected to detail a strategy to stabilize the company by slashing costs and selling more businesses.It has already gotten rid of its real estate portfolio, its dishwasher and appliance business, and media properties NBC and Universal Studios. 'Horse Museum' is the latest book by Dr. Seuss, launched Tuesday at UC San Diego's Geisel Library. The library sold copies of the book at a launch party in the Seuss room Tuesday. The book is about art, and helps kids of all sizes learn about art and museums. Lynda Claassen, the Director of Special Collections and Archives for the Geisel Library says the book is a treasure, found in a box by Audrey Geisel, Theodor's widow, in 2013. It was not a full book she discovered, merely a manuscript with storyboard pages. Using that manuscript, illustrator Andrew Joyner finished Seuss' work. Inside the book, there is horse artwork from greats like Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollack, as well as cameo appearances by familiar characters like the Cat in the Hat. And Claassen promises it won't be the last: "there is more to come. There is always more." Theodor Geisel died in 1991, and there have been other posthumous works published, including 2015's 'What Pet Should I Get?'His wife Audrey died in December 2018. HONOLULU (AP) — A couple who authorities say knowingly had COVID-19 but boarded a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Lihue, Hawaii, anyway, have been banned from the airline.In an email to E.W. Scripps, a spokesman for United told the newspaper that they banned the couple while "they investigate the matter.""The health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority, which is why we have various policies and procedures in place as part of a multi-layered approach to create a safer travel environment, including mandating that everyone onboard wears a mask," the statement read. "Prior to traveling, all United customers are required to complete a ‘Ready to Fly’ checklist acknowledging they have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. We have banned these customers while we investigate this matter."The Kauai Police Department says Wesley Moribe and Courtney Peterson were arrested after they boarded a United flight home to Lihue with a 4-year-old child after San Francisco International Airport officials told them to isolate themselves and avoid the flight Sunday. Officials say Moribe and Peterson took COVID-19 detection tests and both knew they tested positive for the virus.“They knowingly boarded a flight aware of their positive covid-19 test results, placing the passengers of the flight in danger of death,” the Kauai police spokesperson, Coco Zickos, told the Washington Post.The Kauai residents were arrested on suspicion of second-degree reckless endangering. The child was released to the care of family members.
