MANILA, Philippines (AP) — An undersea 6.9 magnitude earthquake has struck off the southern Philippines, prompting the potential to generate a tsunami.No casualties or damage have been reported immediately on Saturday.The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at a depth of 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Davao city in the main southern region of Mindanao.According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC), hazardous tsunami waves were possible within 300 kilometers (186 miles) of the epicenter along the coasts of the Philippines and Indonesia. MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s medical safety commission has approved the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for the coronavirus.Assistant Health Secretary Hugo López-Gatell said Friday that Mexico is the fourth country to do so, behind Britain, Canada, and Bahrain.Mexico is set to receive 250,000 doses of the vaccine, enough for 125,000 people.López-Gatel has said that front-line health workers will get the shots first.
