SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect after two people were stabbed in the San Diego River Tuesday night. According to police, the stabbing happened on the 500 block of Morena Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. between Old Town and Linda Vista.After the stabbing, the suspect, only described as a man wearing a white shirt, fled the scene. Despite a police helicopter and officers on foot, the suspect managed to escape.Lt. Mike Ramsay said the two victims were hispanic men, ages 18 and 19. One was stabbed in the chest and the other in the stomach. They were taken to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest. Ramsay described their condition as "serious but stable."Police closed off Morena Boulevard near Interstate 8 as they searched for the suspect, creating heavy traffic in the area. 10News will continue to keep you updated as soon as we receive more information. 882

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police Monday identified the victim in a deadly Mount Hope-area shooting in late December. According to police, 54-year-old Darryl Toliver was shot and killed in an alleyway on the 800 block of Raven Street around 2:45 a.m. December 29. Witnesses told police and unknown man and two vehicles were spotted leaving the area around the time of the shooting. RELATED: 1 dead in Mount Hope-area shootingThe man was described as black and in his 20s, wearing a dark cap, long-sleeved white sweatshirt and dark sweat pants. Police said at the time that the man was only a person of interest. One of the vehicles spotted leaving the scene was described as a white, 1990s Honda Accord while the other was described as a 2006-2010 Chrysler 300. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More people have tested positive at the San Diego Convention Center, which has been serving as a shelter for San Diego's homeless since April.Regular testing has been conducted at the Convention Center since the shelter opened, but there was a rise in positive cases starting with tests administered on Dec. 3. Since then, there have been 120 positive cases detected.
