An Iowa grandmother won half the 7 million Powerball prize and she didn't even know it at first.Lerynne West, 51, bought her tickets at Casey's General Store in the small town of Redfield, Iowa, while grabbing pizza and coffee with her sister. She said it was a special day because she had bought her first home and was moving in that day.West thought she put the lottery ticket in her purse, but she accidentally left it on the floor of her sister's truck. It lay there for a couple days.When a friend texted the day after the drawing to ask if she had won, West said she hadn't had a chance to check. She rifled through her purse and realized she didn't have the ticket. She quickly called her sister, who found it.West looked at the photo of the ticket her sister sent her and checked the numbers on the lottery's website -- she had won!"I told my sister to get in her truck and get that ticket and get up here right now! And, drive slow," West said in an Iowa Lottery press release.West's ticket and a ticket purchased in New York split the 7 million Powerball jackpot in the October 27 drawing. The holder of the New York ticket has not come forward, according to the Iowa Lottery.West opted to take home 8.1 million in a lump sum, minus what's taken out in taxes. "Then we started to get more serious about it, bringing in planters, and gardening, and making it look much more refined. The finished product is beautiful."Parts of the park are opening for retail and dining as an extension of the Downtown Disney District. Reservations won't be accepted, but a mobile wait list system will be in place when the restaurant is at capacity.Diners can choose to provide their name and mobile number to receive a text message when it's time to return. Mobile ordering will be available at Smokejumpers Grill and Award Wieners.Buena Vista Street will be open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There's no admission charge to enter and guests can park in the Simba lot as they do for Downtown Disney. And while there's no doubt that AstroTurf and its modern equivalent, FieldTurf, have changed the way pro football and baseball have been played, the surfaces have generally been considered safe for athletes to play on.But on Monday, the NFL Player's Association formally called on team owners to "proactively change all field surfaces to natural grass," citing higher rates of injuries to players who are playing on artificial fields.In an open letter, NFLPA President J.C. Tretter — a center for Cleveland Browns in the midst of his eighth NFL season — claimed that most of his teammates preferred to play on grass, noting that his joints felt "noticeably stiffer" after playing on artificial turf."The unforgiving nature of artificial turf compounds the grind on the body we already bear from playing a contact sport," Tretter wrote.In his letter, Tretter wrote that real grass offers more "give," reducing the stress on feet, ankles and knees. He also noted that NFL injury data shows players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries when playing on artificial turf.Tretter also noted that despite harsh conditions, cold-weather cities like Cleveland, Green Bay and Pittsburgh still use traditional grass fields. Antwone Berry was found shot and killed in January in Milwaukee, two weeks after he went missing.Milwaukee police say 34-year-old Skylard Grant is accused of killing Berry. According to police and family members, the two were close friends around each other a lot. That's why this killing is senseless to them.“It's just ridiculous, to come to find out that someone that's very close to you and be the one to hurt you," said Tashe Lee, Berry’s cousin."He didn't deserve that, you know that was the wrong thing," said Steve Lee, another cousin.Berry went missing on Christmas Eve, for two weeks his family searched all over for him in the cold.He was found shot to death two weeks later on Jan. 7 in a wooded area in Milwaukee.According to the criminal complaint, witnesses say Grant was drunk and began arguing with Berry about not sending him money when he was previously in jail.Grant allegedly shot and killed Berry with his own gun. Grant tried to then sell Berry's gun to another friend, who declined and asked of Berry's whereabouts. Court documents show that's when Grant said."....you ain't gonna be seeing him no more, I had to take care of him," he allegedly said. "That wasn't fair to him it wasn't fair to us for somebody to be getting taken away from us," Tasha Lee said.  "Just hoping for the best, hope that he gets life, that’s what I want for him to have life, he took my cousin's life, he deserve to have life."Grant was actually arrested for this case on Jan. 4. Investigators analyzed phone records placing grant near the area where berry's body was found.
