(KGTV) - Naval Criminal Investigative Services announced Friday the arrests of two additional Marines and a sailor, bringing the total of troops suspected of human smuggling and drug-related offenses to 19. Sixteen of the service members were taken into custody Thursday at Camp Pendleton during Battalion formation, a gathering of some 800 troops, U.S. Marine Corps officials said. An additional eight troops were questioned about drug offenses unrelated to the arrests, said Maj. Kendra Motz, 1st Marine Division Communication Strategy Operations Director. Two of the detainees were later arrested, said officials.“The Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment will act within his authority to hold the Marines accountable at the appropriate level, should they be charged,” said Motz. A 29-year-old man who deliberately drove a car into a crowd outside Britain's Houses of Parliament has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, the Metropolitan Police in London said Saturday.Salih Khater of Birmingham, a Sudanese-born UK national, is scheduled to appear in court Monday, police said in a news release.Three people were hurt early Tuesday when the car collided with cyclists and pedestrians as well as police officers before crashing into barriers outside Parliament, police said. (KGTV) — National Geographic and Fox Networks will investigate astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson over allegations of sexual misconduct, according to reports.Accounts by two women were published Thursday, claiming Tyson misbehaved in a sexually inappropriate manner with them, according to Patheos.com. The women, a Bucknell University professor and former assistant to Tyson according to the accounts, both claimed the astrophysicist made inappropriate sexual advances toward them.Tyson has not commented on the allegations against him, according to the Associated Press. In a statement to the AP, the producers of the television show "Cosmo" said: "The credo at the heart of 'Cosmos' is to follow the evidence wherever it leads. The producers of 'Cosmos' can do no less in this situation."Tyson was the host of "Cosmos" on Fox in 2014 and a new edition of the series was set to air on National Geographic next year sometime.
