SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The future of SDCCU Stadium, formerly Qualcomm, will be in the hands of voters in 2018.The SoccerCity San Diego proposal has already earned its spot on the ballot and now SDSU West is hoping to do the same.If SDSU West can win the votes, it plans to put a university research center, stadium and river park on the stadium site.As for SoccerCity, planners hope to create a mixed-use stadium for MLS Soccer and college football, parks, housing, and entertainment.This week some SoccerCity supporters noticed "likes" on the SDSU West Facebook page increased significantly, from just under 500 to nearly 50,000 in a few days.Confusion turned to frustration when they noticed they too "liked" the page when in fact they hadn't."I went to investigate myself to see if that was true, and sure enough when I went on the page I had liked and followed it, without ever having liked or followed it," said Dory Freiberg, an SDSU alum.Freiberg says he's been open to learning more about the SDSU West plan but currently believes SoccerCity will be better for the city."I want to make sure that if it is defeated it's defeated legitimately because it's not the best plan for the city and not any kind of underhandedness," said Freiberg.James Stroud, a longtime San Diego resident, says he too noticed he "liked" the page when in fact he never clicked the 'like' button."It's something that makes them appear more popular than they are, gives them an aura of importance or trustworthiness when it wasn't deserved," Stroud believes.Stroud believes that's problematic as SDSU West tries to garner signatures to get on the November ballot.A quick search of Facebook community forums shows it's not a new issue. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Food and Drug Administration is responding Friday to a Team 10 investigation launched after San Diego women complained about Monat Global hair care.Dana Sohovich talked exclusively with 10News, saying the company’s hair products caused severe hair loss and bald spots. Sohovich has filed a class action lawsuit against the company, alleging it falsely promised her “longer, fuller, stronger” hair. Her suit accuses Monat of “false and deceptive advertising”.Other women have shared pictures of scalp sores, breakage and clumps of fallen strands.RELATED: San Diego woman sues trendy hair care companyMultiple women say they went to their doctors, and there was nothing pointing to a reason, other than product use. Many consumers who complained were told it was normal and part of a detox process that was documented in the company’s own sales literature. “We no longer do that. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The census count impacts everyone living in the United States, from determining how much federal money cities and counties receive to how many representatives states get in Congress. Everyone living in the country regardless of age, race, and citizenship status is asked to fill the survey out. But San Diego and Imperial Counties are notoriously difficult to get an accurate count, the second most challenging region in the entire country. For the 2020 census, over 100 community organizations and civic groups in San Diego are working together to reach "hard to count" populations.“Some of the ethnic groups are the ones that are hard to count, such as the African Americans, the Hispanic, Asian Pacific Islanders, as well as immigrant and refugee populations are really hard to count," said Nancy Sasaki, President & CEO of United Way of San Diego County.United Way of San Diego County is leading the Count Me 2020 campaign. Sasaki went on to say veterans, homeless people, and children are often left out too. The county was awarded two major contracts, totaling .22 million, to coordinate Census 2020 outreach for hard to count populations in San Diego and Imperial Counties.The Supreme Court will rule whether the controversial citizenship question will be added to the census, a decision is expected by June. 1349

Starting October 1, 2020, U.S. residents will need a REAL ID to fly domestically or enter secure federal facilities and military bases. The new ID is the result of the 9/11 Commission's recommendation to establish standards for identity verification and security features. In California, a gold bear and star indicates REAL ID compliance. The DMV is also reminding residents about requirements to obtain a REAL ID.
