It will offer services to trade, business talks, showcase of goods, cultural exhibits and information exchange. Once completed, it will become a new landmark for friendship and cooperation and provide high-quality facilities for cooperation platforms between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Li's attendance at the UN General Assembly is one of China's major diplomatic events in the multilateral arena this year and shows China values the UN and multilateralism, Li Baodong added.

During the inspection tour, Li will attend the opening ceremony of the fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
