SAN YSIDRO (CNS) - A 32-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday morning in a San Ysidro parking lot, police said.It happened shortly after 3:45 a.m. on East Beyer Boulevard, north of Camino De La Plaza, San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez said.The victim had parked his vehicle in a public parking lot, then entered Mexico on foot through a pedestrian crossing, Martinez said. After the 32-year-old man returned from Mexico, a man confronted him and pointed a gun at him as he was getting into his vehicle."(The victim) ignored the suspect and the suspect shot at him numerous times," the officer said. "One of the bullets struck the front windshield of the vehicle and struck (the victim) in the chest."The victim called 911 and was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, Martinez said. The gunman fled the area on foot.The suspected gunman was described as a 6-foot Latino in his 30s, about 200 pounds, with a bald head and a goatee. SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Emergency crews have recovered a body after an incident at a Scottsdale aquatic park.Crews were at Eldorado Aquatic Park near Hayden and McDowell road early Monday morning.Scottsdale police say around 12:30 a.m.; an officer was making rounds in the area when he heard what sounded like muffled calls for help.He worked to locate where the calls may be coming from and eventually found them to be coming from a pipe that helps support one of the water slides.Officers were communicating with the victim, said to be a transient, but lost communication with him around 2 a.m.Officials say the man reportedly went up over a tall fence surrounding the park and was up on the slide. He then somehow fell into the pipe structure, where he became trapped.Crews had to dismantle the slide in order to get the victim's body out.He has since been identified as 31-year-old Ryan Kelly. (KGTV) -- Ahead of heavy rain expected to hit the area in the next several days, Santa Barbara County issued mandatory evacuations for areas that are at extreme and high risk for debris flow.The mandatory evacuations go into effect Tuesday at noon for residents near the Thomas, Sherpa and Whittier burn areas.People in the Alamo burn area are in a recommended evacuation warning area.
