A 16-year-old Guatemalan boy died in government custody Monday morning, Customs and Border Protection said.The boy was apprehended and processed near Hidalgo, Texas, on May 13 before being transferred to the Weslaco Border Patrol Station Sunday, the agency said in a statement. He was found unresponsive Monday morning. The cause of death is unknown, the agency said."The men and women of US Customs and Border Protection are saddened by the tragic loss of this young man and our condolences are with his family," said Acting Commissioner John Sanders in a statement.
