SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Carmel Valley family who moved from Parkland, Florida is upset after learning two Parkland victims died of apparent suicides.Erin George says these suicides in her hometown are re-opening old wounds. It has her wondering how many more lives will be lost due to the senseless tragedy. She said, “I was numb. I just thought when does the loss of life stop from this.”Erin’s daughter Lauren lost a friend in the shootings. She worries about the emotional impact the shootings will have on her daughter.Suicide prevention experts say the best thing you can do is look for warning signs and talk to your teenagers. Simply ask them if they have thought about suicide. They say the best time to talk about it is when they are not depressed. Warning signs include a drastic change in behavior or withdrawing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 55-year-old homeless man who was attacked with a skateboard while sleeping in North Park has died, San Diego Police said.Arthur Angulo was sleeping in alley in the 2800 block of El Cajon Boulevard  at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday when a man bashed him repeatedly with a skateboard, according to police.  Angulo suffered ``visible signs of major trauma to his upper body,'' San Diego police homicide Lt. Todd Griffin said.``The attack was unprovoked," officer Tony Martinez said over the weekend.RELATED: Sleeping homeless man attacked in North ParkAngulo was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where medical staff determined he would not survive and placed him on life support, Griffin said.He was removed from life support Thursday "and died in the hospital as the result of his injuries,'" Griffin said.Police said the attacker is white, about six feet tall, and between 19 and 26 years old. SAN DIEGO (KGTV and CNS) - President Trump will visit San Diego in March to view the border wall prototypes, according to the Washington Post.Trump will get a first-hand look at the eight 30-foot tall prototyles in Otay Mesa and attend a Republic National Committee fundraiser in Los Angeles.It will be Trump's first to California since he was elected, The Washington Post reported.RELATED: Federal officials view border wall prototypesThe exact date of the trip was not released but the newspaper reported it would happen in mid-March.Trump last week lashed out at what he called California officials' "lousy management" and threatened to pull federal immigration agents out of the state."They're doing a lousy management job, they have the highest taxes in the nation and they don't know what's happening out there. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A class-action lawsuit against the University of San Diego wants the school to refund students some tuition fees following the move to virtual learning.The lawsuit, filed by two students, claims the college owes students some of their tuition and fees back due to the switch to virtual learning.The suit says that when the school switched to virtual learning in Spring 2020, students were still charged full tuition even though "USD could no longer provide the promised hours of instruction." The lawsuit claimed that USD also increased its tuition on top of that."Similarly, students paid fees for services and access to facilities and equipment over the full semester. Though USD provided these services and facility/equipment access for only part of the semester, and could not provide them for the full semester, USD demanded that students pay fees for the entire semester," lawsuit documents state.A spokesperson for USD told ABC 10News they have not been notified of or served with the lawsuit.The lawsuit is seeking a "prorated portion of the tuition, fees and other related costs, proportionate to the diminished value of online classes and the amount of time in the Spring 2020 and following semesters when USD ceased in-person classes, campus services and access to campus facilities, continuing through to such time as USD reinstates in-person classes" for the two students who filed the lawsuit and "all others similarly situated." 1470
