Billionaire Tom Steyer has qualified for next week's Democratic presidential debate in Iowa.He'll be on stage alongside Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar. Steyer qualified by hitting polling requirements in South Carolina and Nevada, two of the early voting states. He said while campaigning in New Hampshire on Thursday that his campaign has momentum. A new Fox News poll conducted in South Carolina put Steyer at 15%, and another Fox News poll in Nevada put him at 12%. California Pizza Kitchen locations are holding a "Pizza with a Purpose" event in honor of California Highway Patrol Officer Andre Moye Jr.'s family on Tuesday. Twenty percent of proceeds from sales on Tuesday will be donated to a fund created in Officer Moye's memory.CPK officials say customers can mention the fundraiser, show a flyer on their phone or bring in a printed version to have a portion of their bill donated. On Aug. 12 around 5:35 p.m., CHP Officer Andre Moye, Jr. stopped the driver of a white GMC pickup for an unknown offense off the 215 Freeway in Riverside. At some point during the traffic stop, Moye decided to impound the man’s vehicle and called for a tow truck.While Moye was filling out paperwork, the man got a rifle from his truck and started shooting at the officer. Moye returned fire, and even though he had been shot, he was able to radio for help. BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's chicken nuggets and soft pretzels on the menu at South Buffalo Charter School, but suspension is being served for some lunchroom workers. Three are seen in pictures, posted on a fourth worker's public Instagram account. They are posing on a prep table in the school cafeteria. One of the pictures shows a woman on her knees, with her feet on the table, and a peeled banana held in a phallic position. The woman who took the pictures told 7 Eyewitness News I-Team reporter Ed Drantch, "it was a joke."The pictures were anything but a joke for Dave Cervi, President of Personal Touch Food Service, a third-party vendor that is hired by the school for food service."I can't believe anyone that works in a school, with children, would even consider doing something like that. It was horrifying to us," Cervi said.Personal Touch has been under contract with South Buffalo Charter School for five years.Cervi says this is the first time he's ever dealt with something like this. He says he had the four employees surrender their school ID tags to Principal David Ehrle, and walked out of the building."Everyone has an understanding, upon being hired, this is not the type of behavior you do in general, but certainly not at a school. We don't condone it and we're here to provide a safe environment for the students," Ehrle said.The woman who took these pictures has her own children enrolled at this school. Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled.The pictures were posted four days ago on the worker's public Instagram account.They have since been taken down and the account made private. BBC radio broadcaster Danny Baker has been fired after posting a racist tweet about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new baby.On Wednesday, the BBC Radio 5 Live presenter tweeted a black and white photo of a man and woman holding hands with a chimpanzee in a suit and a top hat, with the caption, "Royal baby leaves hospital."Amid widespread accusations of racism, Baker deleted the tweet and said he was sorry the "gag" had "whipped some up." He claimed the connotations had not occurred to him because his "mind (is) not diseased."In a second message, Baker said that the tweet was "supposed to be a joke about Royals vs circus animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys & race, so rightly deleted. California authorities launched a manhunt early Wednesday for a man suspected of killing a police officer during a traffic stop.Officer Ronil Singh, 33, pulled over the suspect just before 1 a.m. in a mostly residential part of Newman, a city of 11,000 located about 70 miles east of San Jose."A few moments later he called out 'shots fired' over the radio," according to a news release from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, which is leading the investigation. "Multiple agencies responded to assist, and Singh was found at the scene with gunshot wounds."Singh was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.The suspect -- who surveillance images show is a heavyset man with dark, closely cropped hair -- took off in a silver or gray extended-cab Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, police said.
