SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An alleged drunken driver accused of running over and fatally injuring a co-worker, who was trying to prevent her from driving home following a night out in Kearny Mesa, was charged Tuesday with murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run causing death. Latisha Ingram, 33, is accused in the death last Thursday night of 25- year-old Ha Minh Ta.Deputy District Attorney Phillippa Cunningham said Ingram was charged with second-degree murder because she has a 2010 DUI conviction in Orange County.According to the prosecutor, Ingram and Ta met up with other co-workers for after-dinner drinks and the defendant, ``against the advice of friends,'' decided to try and drive home.RELATED: San Diego police: Man run over, killed after argument in Kearny Mesa parking lotIngram got into an argument with Ta about 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot in the 4600 block of Convoy Street, and she allegedly started to drive away while he was still holding onto her car. Ingram drove out of the parking lot and turned southbound onto Convoy Street, where Ta let go and was run over by the defendant, San Diego police Officer Robert Heimsthe officer alleged.Paramedics rushed Ta to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. SAN DIEGO (CNS) -- Homicide detectives Friday were investigating the death of a man who was found unconscious in a Midway District parking lot.Dispatchers received a call around 10 p.m. Thursday from a person who reported finding the man in a parking lot in the 3700 block of Rosecrans Street, San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown said.Officers and paramedics responded to the scene and were directed to the 31-year-old victim, who had suffered trauma to his upper body, Brown said.The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:38 p.m., the lieutenant said. His name was withheld pending family notification.Police announced Monday that Zarchari Mock, 29, was arrested in connection with the homicide. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A pick-up truck drove through a highway center divider today near Alpine, overturned and caught fire, authorities said.The crash happened at 7:26 a.m. when a Ford truck lost its brakes going eastbound on Interstate 8, overturned on westbound I-8, landed on the right shoulder and became fully engulfed, the California Highway Patrol said.The wreck started a minor brush fire. Susan Davis and Scott Peters, D- San Diego, and Duncan Hunter, R-Alpine, to support the resolution by inundating their offices with calls and postcards from constituents between now and the August congressional recess.Reps. Mike Levin, D-Dana Point, and Juan Vargas, D-San Diego, are already co-sponsors of House Resolution 109, which supports the drafting and adoption of a Green New Deal. The proposal would reduce greenhouse gas emissions to a net-zero level, invest in infrastructure and shepherd the country's economic and energy sectors away from fossil fuels and coal by 2030.Rep.
