Babynames.com released its list of the Top 100 names for girls and boys for the year 2019 on Monday, and the most popular names for both sexes have a royal feel. According to babynames.com, Liam was the most popular boys name in 2019, with Charlotte topping the list for girls names. Liam was the No. 1 boys name for the second consecutive year as Charlotte replaced Amelia as No. 1 girls name. Indiana is the latest state making it a reality on Sunday, and there are more places following suit. Lou’s City Bar in Washington, D.C. is getting ready for a busy weekend as football season gets underway. At least 300 people have been evacuated in Kearney, Nebraska due to severe flooding, according to the city's emergency management coordinator Darrin Lewis.Those evacuated include both residents and hotel guests, Lewis said."We have not started assessing the number of structures that have been impacted by the flood waters but for the community, it's devastating," Lewis said.Lewis told CNN that although the floodwater is beginning to recede in the city, Wood River is expected to crest at a historic 17.7 feet Wednesday morning, which could cause more flooding and require additional water rescues.Multiple water rescue operations took place as many locations near I-80, which sits along the Platte River, were cut off by high water, David Pearson, Senior Service Hydrologist at NWS Omaha, told CNN Tuesday.The city, which has a population of more than 30,000, received close to 9 inches of rain Monday night causing widespread flooding throughout the region, Pearson said. For the second straight night, violent confrontations ensued between police and protesters in Louisville. Shortly before 10 p.m., a reporter and photojournalist for Louisville-based station WAVE-TV appeared to be intentionally targeted by police with rubber bullets during the protest. It is unclear based on several viral videos of the incident why police fired on the reporters there. The Radio Television Digital News Association released a statement following Friday's incident in Louisville. "Journalists’ job is to show the world what’s happening in our communities," the statement read. "Local reporter Kaitlin Rust keeps reporting even while being targeted by police, and viewers at home stare down the barrel of a police weapon."The incident took place hours after several CNN reporters were arrested in Minneapolis, in an incident the state’s governor called a mistake. Gov. Tim Walz has since apologized to the journalists for the incident. On Thursday, seven protesters were wounded by gunfire amid demonstrations.
