A district judge in California denied Netflix's attempt to have actress Mo'Nique's discrimination case against them dismissed on Wednesday and said the lawsuit can move forward.The decision was made in the Central District Court in California by U.S. District Judge Andrè Birotte, Jr.Mo'Nique is alleging that Netflix discriminated against her because of her race and gender by offering her a "lowball offer" to perform a one-hour comedy special and then retaliated against her when they “dug its heels in the ground” and refused to negotiate fair pay with her, according to court documents.In his decision, Judge Birotte said that Mo'Nique's allegations are "plausible.""Mo’Nique raises a novel theory here, namely that an employer’s failure to negotiate an “opening offer” in good faith, consistent with its alleged customary practice which typically leads to increased compensation, constitutes an “adverse employment action” for purposes of a retaliation claim," the judge noted.In her lawsuit, which she filed last year, the Oscar-winning actress says she the streaming service offered 0,000, but claimed they paid comedian Amy Schumer "twenty-six times more than her for the same one-hour comedy special on grounds that Schumer had sold out Madison Square Garden and had a recent movie released.""Regardless of whether the plaintiff will ultimately prevail on (her) claims, dismissing this case under Rule 12(b)(6) is not appropriate," the judge said in his decision. A man accused of posing as an attorney in Madison, Tennessee is now facing more charges, according to police documents.Sex crimes detectives have been working for a year to determine if alleged rapist Wayne Willemsen is connected to other sexual assaults. He was just indicted on rape and kidnapping charges stemming from an incident in 2017.Police said he branded himself as an attorney in Madison and used his position to meet his victims. The 43-year-old was accused last March of raping one of his clients. Willemsen was already on the state sex offender registry for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old in Michigan.The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also charged him several months ago with impersonating an attorney.Detectives said aren't done looking into his behavior and urged anyone who may have been victimized by Willemsen to call the Sex Crimes Section at 615-862-7540 or 615-862-8600. Previous Story: 938

A giant blimp of London Mayor Sadiq Khan will be seen in the UK capital's skies this weekend after protesters were given permission to fly the crowdfunded balloon in Westminster.More than 3,000 supporters have donated more than ￡58,000 (,500) in total to fund the 29-foot balloon, which depicts the mayor reclining in a small yellow bikini.Protest organizer Yanny Bruere, who describes himself as a British free speech advocate, said he had set up the crowdfunding campaign in response to London authorities' decision to allow a "Trump Baby" blimp to be flown during last month's visit to Britain by US President Donald Trump.He said the Parliament Square event on Saturday morning "marks the fightback for free speech in our country."Bruere, who has set up a "Make London Safe Again" group on Facebook, accuses Khan of doing too little to prevent violent crime in London.The Crowdfunder page posted by Bruere said: "In light of the Donald Trump 'Baby Trump' ballon being allowed to fly over London during his visit to the U.K., let's get a 'baby Khan' one and see if FREE SPEECH applies to all and whether or not Mr Khan and the London assembly will also approve this."Under Sadiq Khan, we have seen crime sky rocket to unprecedented levels. A Georgia high school teacher is under investigation after he was filmed telling a student he "might" shoot the kid in the head.Paul Hagan, a white physics teacher at Rockdale Career Academy, was filmed ranting against an unidentified black student, according to Atlanta's WSB-TV."Don't smile at me, man," Hagan is heard telling the student. "That's how people like you get shot."In the video, which WSB shared on Facebook, Hagan goes on to say, "I gotta bet by the time you're 21 somebody's gonna put a bullet right through your head. OK? And it might be me the one who does it."The video was apparently shot by another student.Officials at Rockdale Career Academy are investigating the incident. A family is hoping to locate their fallen soldier's American flag after it was stolen from their truck.Shawn Marceau told FOX 12 his truck was broken into in Yakima, Washington and inside was an American flag that belonged to his son, Joe, who was killed while serving in Afghanistan.He said the signatures of his son and two other fallen soldiers are displayed on the flag."The significance to anybody is really nothing, but to us, it is so personal because it's their last signatures in their lives,” said Marceau. “And I think that is what makes it so important to us. It is part of our son and he had it there with him when he was killed"Marceau hopes someone will find the flag and return it and said there will be no questions asked if returned.  765
