(AP) — Prosecutors added criminal charges involving five additional victims Wednesday in the case of a California surgeon and his girlfriend who were previously charged with drugging and sexually assaulting two women.The Orange County district attorney's office said the additional charges include kidnapping and rape by use of drugs.The new charges accuse Dr. Grant Robicheaux of sexually assaulting five additional women. His girlfriend, Cerissa Riley, is now charged in three additional assaults. Details were not immediately released.Robicheaux, 38, and Riley, 31, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to all counts. A judge ordered their bail to be raised to million each, up from 0,000 each.Robicheaux once appeared in a reality TV show called "Online Dating Rituals of the American Male."When the pair was originally charged last month, prosecutors said they received leads to more than a dozen possible additional victims.Authorities said the two initial victims met Robicheaux and Riley at social events in Southern California, where they became intoxicated and ended up at Robicheaux's apartment.Robicheaux could now face a term of more than 82 years to life in prison if convicted. Riley could face 63 years to life in prison if convicted.Both had friends and family who walked up and hugged them during a break in the courtroom proceedings. New charges were filed late Friday against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort in the special counsel investigation.Prosecutors allege that Manafort, with the assistance of longtime business partner Rick Gates, "secretly retained a group of former senior European politicians to take positions favorable to Ukraine, including by lobbying in the United States."The new indictment came less than two hours after Gates pleaded guilty to two criminal charges in federal court and pledged to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russia and the 2016 presidential election.Prosecutors say Manafort orchestrated a group of former European politicians, called the "Hapsburg group," to pose as independent voices. Yet they covertly pushed positions favorable to Ukraine as paid lobbyists. Manafort used offshore accounts to pay the former politicians 2 million euros.Manafort also allegedly used million from an offshore account to fund a report on the trial of a political opponent jailed by his clients. NEWARK, N.J. - Before the holiday travel season picks up, United Airlines said they will be offering free coronavirus tests to passengers on select flights between New Jersey and the United Kingdom, beginning Nov. 16.According to a press release, the airline launched the 4-week pilot program that will run from Nov. 16 to Dec. 11.United is only rapidly testing passengers flying between Newark Liberty International Airport to London Heathrow, free of charge.United said appointments are required, and passengers will have to arrive three hours before their flight to get results back in time."We believe the ability to provide fast, same-day COVID-19 testing will play a vital role in safely reopening travel around the world and navigating quarantines and travel restrictions, particularly to key international destinations like London," said Toby Enqvist, chief customer officer for United in the news release. "Through this pilot program, we'll guarantee that everyone* onboard has tested negative for COVID-19, adding another element to our layered approach to safety.
