SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - 23 people were injured Saturday night when a structure collapsed at an indoor parkour center in Barrio Logan.21 of them were children. Two were adults, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.The collapse happened about 8 p.m. at Vault PK, a parkour center on Main St. and Sigsbee. Children who were above and below the structure were hurt.The injuries ranged from minor to moderate.Cory Brizendine, a parent, estimates there were about 50 kids there. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 21-year-old North County man was stabbed early Saturday morning during an argument with three males over loud music, San Diego Police Department officials said.The stabbing was reported at 12:23 a.m. in the 14200 block of Cuca Street in Rancho Penasquitos, about a block away from Los Penasquitos Elementary School.Police said the man was stabbed in the right forearm during the argument. The victim's relatives transported him to a nearby hospital.The three suspects jumped into a dark vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, according to police.There is no further suspect information. 621

The EPA awarded grants worth a combined .3 million to 21 companies across the country to develop technologies to improve environmental and human health, monitor air and water quality and clean contaminated areas.With its grant, 2W iTech will develop a low-cost method to identify trace amounts of perfluoroalkyl substances in water at a rate as small as 10 parts per trillion.According to the EPA, perfluoroalkyl substances are man-made chemicals that are used in various consumer products like cookware and pizza boxes but can cause adverse health affects in humans if exposed to them over long periods of time."These funds support small businesses that have developed new technologies to monitor air quality, test for PFAS, and address other pressing environmental challenges,'' EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A brush fire burning near the border in Otay Mesa grew to 10 acres Monday afternoon, according to Cal Fire. Thick, white smoke could be seen billowing from miles away. Cal Fire originally reported the fire around 4 p.m. burning in Tin Can Canyon. The fire then grew to five acres before Cal Fire posted a third tweet, noting that the blaze had grown to 10. "Firefighters continue to make progress," the agency said Monday evening.
