A California university is using testing and contact tracing to stop a large outbreak of Covid-19 among fraternity houses, according to media reports.The University of Southern California has reported at least 150 positive coronavirus cases. Los Angeles-area media reports that dozens of those cases were traced to three or four fraternities near campus.The fraternity houses are off-campus, and it is not clear if the infected people were fraternity members or just students renting a room for the summer.Dr. Sarah Van Orman, chief health officer of USC Student Health, does not believe the students got Covid-19 from a party."And because people live in close proximity, they sort of spread it to each other," Van Orman told ABC7. A bus crash early Monday killed one child and wounded 40 other people, most of them children, on Interstate 30 west of Benton, Arkansas State Police said.The charter bus, which was carrying a youth football team home from a championship game it played over the weekend, was traveling from Texas to Memphis, Tennessee, when it left the road and turned over, police said. Authorities received a call around 2:40 a.m. (3:40 ET) and found the bus on its side near the Hot Springs exit on I-30.The children were between 8 and 10 years old and had chaperones accompanying them on the bus, state police spokesman Bill Sadler said."When troopers arrived at the scene, many of the children were already off of the bus," Sadler said. "Some of them were stunned or had minor injuries."The injured were transported to hospitals in Benton and in Little Rock, about 25 miles northeast of Benton. A group of Greyhound passengers were not pleased after their bus left three and a half hours late and then took an unexpected detour on Thursday morning.Passengers said their bus was supposed to leave at 2:30 a.m., but it didn't actually pull away from the bus station until 6 a.m. To make matters worse, once the bus got into Pennsylvania, passengers said it turned around because the driver said there were problems with the bus.But wait, there's more.The bus reportedly missed Cleveland and went all the way to Toledo before the driver realized the error. Toledo is roughly two hours west of Cleveland. Now riders are looking for alternative ways to get to their destinations.
