(KGTV) — A Los Angeles-area police pursuit ended late Tuesday with a suspect breakdancing as officers held him a gunpoint before being arrested.The chase took California Highway Patrol officers through the San Fernando Valley after the suspect failed to yield to commands to stop, according to ABC-affiliate KABC.Officers pursued the suspect over the 101 Freeway, north on the 405 Freeway, and then east onto the 118 Freeway.As the driver slowed in the Pacoima area, officers were able to enact a PIT maneuver and spin the suspect's vehicle out.The driver exited the vehicle and began walking backward toward CHP officers. (KGTV) - Dramatic video shows how a plane crash and rescue of the pilot and passenger unfolded off the coast of Northern California. David Lesh purchased his Beechcraft Bonanza a few weeks ago and asked a fellow pilot to record aerial video from a second plane. “We were gonna go fly over the Golden Gate bridge, and do a whole bay tour... obviously didn't make it there,” Lesh said. During the flight, Lesh lost all power five miles off Half Moon Bay Harbor. “I would guess that we probably didn't have much more than maybe a minute or two from the time I figured something was wrong to the time we hit the water,” said Lesh. Lesh’s friend Owen Leipelt was piloting the second plane and watched as Lesh went down. “At one point I lost them. I had been circling and I couldn't see them anymore and David called me on the phone as he was bobbing in the water and he turned me around and he guided me right to where he was,” said Leipelt. (KGTV) — California Highway Patrol is advising motorists to be prepared for a possible shut down of the Grapevine stretch of Interstate 5 this week.With a major winter storm expected to sweep through Southern California over the Thanksgiving holiday, CHP sent out a warning Tuesday for motorists to stay alert if using I-5 between Santa Clarita and Mettler, Calif."We are expecting snow on the Grapevine starting this Wednesday," CHP wrote. "We always hope to keep it open, however safety is our top priority. If the conditions become unsafe, we will hold traffic until Caltrans HQ makes the roadway safe. Expect a high volume of traffic this holiday week. Expect some delay and give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination safely."As an backup, CHP provided a map of alternate routes around the Grapevine through Highway 14 or Highway 101:Rain may hit Santa Clarita as early as Tuesday, with freezing conditions possible Thursday night.
