CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - A man suspected of making a threat against a Chula Vista Catholic church and school was arrested Wednesday, Chula Vista Police said.Thomas Escajeda, 61, called St. Rose of Lima church and school at 293 H St. Tuesday. He threatened to harm parishioners attending a mass for All Saints Day on Thursday at 8 a.m., police said.A church representative called police, who arrested Escajada Wednesday on suspicion of Felony Criminal Threats. He is currently being held on 0,000 bail.Escajeda has been a regular participant of the church for a year, police said. Investigators said they did not know the motive for the threat.The All Saints Day mass is part of a solemn holy day for Catholic worshippers, dedicated to honor of the saints of the Church, according to Catholic.org.The mass and Thursday classes were canceled despite the arrest, police said. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) -- Authorities have arrested a 44-year-old Casa De Oro man in connection with his husband's murder.According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Daniel Scott Jordan was taken into custody Thursday in Reno, Nevada following a joint agency investigation involving San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force in San Diego, and the USMS Fugitive Task Force in Reno."Jordan was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility as a Fugitive from Justice and will await extradition to San Diego," said sheriff's Lt. (KGTV) - Extra security officers are in place at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista Friday due to confusion over a school threat at a similarly named school near Tampa, Florida.Pinellas County, Fla. deputies found an unspecific threat written on a wall of a girl’s bathroom at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs Thursday, according to TampaBay.com. The threat, which was also posted on Snapchat, warned students not to come to school Friday.Word of the Florida threat spread on San Diego County social media pages Thursday night, according to Sweetwater Union High School District spokesperson Manuel Rubio.There is no credible threat to Eastlake High School, Rubio said.As a precaution, the local school added extra security officers on campus Friday.  Families also received an automated phone call Friday morning to reassure them the campus was safe, according to Rubio.The written threat to Florida's East Lake High School has also been deemed not credible, said Pinellas County Sgt.
