SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are investigating reports of a person being shot in the Mount Hope area Friday.San Diego Police said they were investigating reports that a 27-year-old Hispanic man showed up to Scripps Mercy Hospital with gunshot wounds just before 2 p.m. The man was rushed into surgery for life-threatening injuries.Soon after, police responded to the scene of 41st and C streets to investigate the location of the reported shooting.SDPD said based on the evidence gathered, the victim was in an altercation with man when gunshots rang out. The suspect they are searching for is a Hispanic male adult, approximately 29-30 years old who fled the area in a green pickup truck. He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow hat and a green jersey.The vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on 41st St.SDPD Gang Detectives are investigating the shooting. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Fire-Rescue Thursday pulled a man to safety who fell 30 feet into a trench on the grounds of a work site at UC San Diego. According to the department, the incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Voit Drive at Matthews Lane. Crews used a pulley system to get the worker, a man in his 20s, out of the trench. He was then taken to UCSD Medical Center for treatment of blunt-force injuries and burns he received when he landed on a steam pipe. His condition is unknown at this time. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for an at-risk teenager who disappeared from the Carmel Valley area on Sunday.Police say Nevaeh "Marie" Corbin, 14, was last seen at about 1:30 p.m. leaving her home on Sunday in the Carmel Valley area. Police say Corbin left on foot and said she was going for a walk at an unknown location. Corbin is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and depression, police added.Corbin is described as a Caucasian female with black hair and blue eyes, and is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 175 pounds.She was last seen wearing a multi-colored tank top, black leggings, a pink and black Apple watch, and multi-colored blue shoes.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 619-531-2000. 750
