You need to download the Amazon Key app, and link your car before you begin shopping.There is one catch: You will need a 2015 or newer GM or Volvo vehicle with active OnStar or Volvo On Call account.These vehicles allow you to unlock your car wherever you are right before the driver arrives and lock it directly after the package is delivered.With the first version of Amazon Key, Amazon tried to eliminate porch poaching. But, this has many people wondering if the new version will cause more vehicle break-ins. LA MESA, Calif. (AP) — A man who police say brandished a gun from a van and a woman who then crashed the car with five children inside, injuring them, have been arrested. A person on Friday night reported that a man in La Mesa had a gun inside a moving vehicle. Police say an officer later tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to pull over. Shortly thereafter, the car crashed. The officer pursuing the suspect found five children inside without car seats. Police say the children suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for further tests. 573

(KGTV) - A La Mesa dessert shop is beating the odds, flourishing through the pandemic.Toran Grays opened Extraordinary Banana Pudding March 14th, the day after the President declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus.Grays was set up for success from the get go, with prepackaged desserts available for take out, and partnering with Door Dash so he could be COVID compliant."I didn’t know COVID was going to hit so fast, but I did have belief in my product, so I said you know what I’m going to give it a try, you gotta try something at some point in your life if you want to do something great," Grays said.He tried starting up at least two other businesses before Extraordinary Banana Pudding,"I started a clothing company, an online shipping company, none of it worked before."Grays was determined. He grew up in Webster and Imperial Beach, and as a kid his grandmother came to visit, "my grandmother came down here from Mississippi, she made [banana pudding] for a bunch of our family members and I fell in love with it instantly!"Grays said it was his great-grandmother's recipe that's been handed down generations. After his grandmother passed away he realized he could keep their legacy alive.He struggled at first getting the permits for the business, but once the doors opened and customers tasted his creations, they were sold.He expanded from the traditional banana pudding flavor to everything from cheesecake to pistachio.Thursday a couple drove all the way down from Oceanside for the pudding that's catching fire on social media.Grays said a family came all the way from Texas and vowed to come back every summer until he could open up a location closer to home.Grays' business has been so successful, he's opening another shop in Las Vegas in August, headed by his brother. Larry Scott, the commissioner of the Pac-12 Conference, said Thursday that a new coronavirus test that claims to provide fast and accurate results is a “major step” when it comes to allowing a football season.Last month, the Pac-12, along with the Big Ten and several other Division 1 FBS conference, decided to postpone the college football season. The decision not to have a fall football season for the Big Ten and Pac-12 amid the coronavirus pandemic came with some backlash as parents, players and even President Donald Trump have pushed for the Pac-12 and Big Ten to change their decisions.And now they have a reason to change their mind.“This is a major step toward the safe resumption of Pac-12 sport competitions,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. “The availability of a reliable test that can be administered daily, with almost immediate results, addresses one of the key concerns that was expressed by our medical advisory committee, as well as by student-athletes, coaches and others. At the same time, our partnership with Quidel, the industry leader in point-of-care antigen testing, will provide crucial research data that will benefit our members’ communities as well as the entire country.”The Pac-12 said that the Quidel tests are expected to reach Pac-12 athletic departments by the end of the fall.
