(KGTV) — Authorities have identified the South Bay woman killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on Interstate 5 in Irvine this week.Maria Osuna, 25, of National City, was killed in the collision involving at least nine vehicles at about 1:25 a.m. on I-5 near Irvine Spectrum Center.Osuna was the only person killed in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol.RELATED: Girl, 12, among victims in fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 805 in University City areaA six-month-old boy, believed to be Osuna's son, also suffered "major to moderate injuries" in the crash. 10News learned that the boy was taken to Mission Viejo hospital.Two other children from different vehicles were also hospitalized with unknown injuries.A 22-year-old Nevada man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to ABC7 in Los Angeles. Authorities believe he caused the chain-reaction crash.An Uber driver told ABC7 that his Toyota Prius -- which had no passengers at the time -- was the first to be struck by the suspect’s Dodge Challenger. He said 10 minutes passed before additional vehicles became involved in the pileup. 1139

(KGTV) — Disney officials say the company's California parks are prepared to reopen as soon as the state gives guidance for theme parks to open their doors.During a roundtable discussion with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday, Disney World’s chief operating officer Jim MacPhee said the California theme parks are "ready to roll" once they are given the chance to reopen.“Disneyland has been ready to roll since July awaiting guidance from the state's governor on what the reopening protocols will be,” said MacPhee.RELATED: SeaWorld San Diego prepares to reopen with Zoo Days eventOfficials from Universal Studios who were also at the roundtable echoed the same preparedness."We're awaiting our park in Hollywood, as with Disney and SeaWorld, with respect to the state of California and the governor and when we'll be able to reopen. Disneyland, California Adventure, and Universal Studios have all been shuttered since March due to the pandemic. Disney officials had rolled out a phased reopening plan and safety measures in June with the assumption they would have guidance by July, but delayed the plans when it became clear the state was not issuing guidance anytime soon.MacPhee said one of the challenges is convincing state leadership, and eventually potential guests, that the parks' safety precautions to prevent to spread of COVID-19 will be effective."I think it's driving awareness, driving a strong focus on how safe our environment is, and having people roll in," MacPhee said.SeaWorld officials were also present at the meeting. (CNN) -- House Republicans on Saturday submitted a list of witnesses they'd like to testify as part of the chamber's impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump and Ukraine.In a letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Republicans listed the anonymous whistleblower, former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden, former US special envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker, high-raking State Department official David Hale and Tim Morrison, the top Russia and Europe adviser on the National Security Council. Saturday marked Republicans' deadline to submit the request.The GOP also requested Nellie Ohr, a former Fusion GPS contractor, and Alexandra Chalupa, a former Democratic National Committee staffer, signaling that Republicans still want to focus on unsubstantiated claims related to the 2016 presidential campaign.Democrats must approve any requests submitted by Republicans and they are expected to reject the requests for Hunter Biden and the whistleblower to appear.CNN has reached out to attorneys for the whistleblower and Hunter Biden for comment.In the letter, California Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, bashed what he called a "sham impeachment process."
