You get to be more of an expert on me than I get to be on me. Why should I feel safe that you’re going to actually take care of me, if you can’t even call me my name?” Miller said.For trans people around the country, this rule change might mean they could be denied hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgery. What it would be like to go back home and have a medical emergency and not be able to get care.
