A San Diego bail bondsman is disputing a controversial Facebook live in which the narrator says his agents were turning in a suspected undocumented immigrant.The video, shot Monday by Ryan McAdams, shows Watkins employees turning a Latino man into central jail. A man who said he was "super hungover" caused a crash that killed a woman and severely injured a man in Arizona, according to officials. Scottsdale police report that on February 15 at 9:45 a.m., they responded to a two-vehicle crash near Hayden and McKellips roads.Police say 33-year-old Frederick Kipper MacArthur was driving his 2005 Infiniti?when he crossed the center line and struck another car with two people inside, head-on.?The passenger, Jessica Bailey, was killed in the collision and the driver continues to suffer from multiple injuries, including two broken legs, a femoral artery tear and partially amputated arm. MacArthur also went to the hospital with neck and rib fractures. Police say MacArthur admitted to drinking the night before and into the morning, saying he "got really drunk." He also said he had a "super hangover" the next morning and had a glass of wine to make him feel better. Police say his blood alcohol content was .254. He's been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault. 1070

A prayer rally was held over the weekend for a 33-year-old man who died after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies in a Southern California grocery store.The man, Ernie Serrano, was at the store last Tuesday night in line to pay for his items. Sheriff’s deputies say when they arrived at the store, they saw Serrano tussling with a security guard and attempting to take the guard’s gun, according to a department press release.“While detaining Serrano, he continued fighting with the deputies and did not comply with their commands. At that time, a use of force occurred,” Sgt. Lionel Murphy with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department states in the release.Serrano was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies say Serrano then stopped breathing. "Medical personnel on scene rendered aid and was able to obtain a pulse. Serrano was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, Serrano’s condition deteriorated, and he was later pronounced deceased," the department states. Serrano’s family disagrees on what happened in the store, and point to video shared on social media from a witness showing a deputy walk up to Serrano and beat him a few times with a baton before another deputy tackles him.The department said the use of force in Serrano’s arrest is under investigation at this time.The family is raising money for Serrano’s memorial services.Warning: the video may be difficult to watch and the post contains strong language. 1499

A newly married man hasn't had much time to celebrate his marriage as he's been in the hospital with the rare condition acute flaccid myelitis for more than 100 days.Bridget Williquette and Adam Spoerri got married July 21, 2018. They left for their road trip honeymoon a few days later. But on August 5, Adam had to be taken to the emergency room with a respiratory disease that was affecting his breathing.Adam's body became increasingly paralyzed while in the ER, leaving his chest, arms, lungs, throat, facial muscles and neck without feeling. He was admitted to the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit that same day and has since been on life support.Adam and Bridget now communicate through writing on paper, as Adam's hands and wrists were not affected by paralysis as much as other areas of his body.He has been doing daily occupational and physical therapy and has made progress in being able to hold his head up on his own.A GoFundMe page has been set up for Adam and Bridget. A military helicopter carrying officials surveying earthquake damage crashed Friday night in the southeastern Mexican state of Oaxaca, killing at least 13 people, Mexican officials said.Twelve people died at the site of the crash in Santiago Jamiltepec, while another person died in the hospital, the state attorney general's office said. Three of the dead were children, the office said.
