Not every app has the same restaurants on them, so you might have to use an app that has the restaurant of your liking.Door Dash was the simplest app to use because there weren’t that many choices or suggestions to help you choose what to eat.Eat 24, like many of the other apps offered food categories like American, Asian and Mexican to help you narrow down your choices.We found when placing your order on each app you had to add your credit card and address, but for Uber Eats you did not. If you have an Uber Ride Share account, it's automatically synced up to that app. It cut the ordering time in half if you were a new user.Although we used Postmates for ordering food, we learned you can use the app for ordering anything. Some use Postmates to order clothes to be picked up or getting an item from the drug store delivered to their house.No matter which app you use there’s a place to save money by adding a promo code. But, you’ll need to watch out for hidden service fees outside of the usual delivery and tax fee.A great feature all the apps have are alerts or push notifications letting you know where your food is and when it will be delivered.Almost every app delivered the food we ordered 10 minutes earlier than their estimated arrival time. CARLSBAD (CNS) - A report of domestic violence triggered an hours-long standoff in a Carlsbad neighborhood Friday night into Saturday morning, police said.Around 10 p.m. Friday, a woman called police and said her husband had assaulted her, cut her hand with a knife and threatened to kill her before she could escape, according to Carlsbad Police Lt. Kevin Lehan. The woman also told police her husband was heavily intoxicated.Police headed to the couple's residence, on Juniper Avenue between Interstate 5 and Garfield Street, and found the man had barricaded himself inside, Lehan said.The man wouldn't cooperate with officers and after a few hours, a SWAT team forced entry into the home through the front door and a window, according to Lehan.Officers searched the home and ultimately found the man hiding under a bed. He was taken into custody without further incident.It was determined the man was unarmed when police arrested him, Lehan said. 957

CASTAIC (CNS) - A man who stole an SUV from a customer at a Santa Monica dealership led authorities on a chase for over two hours Friday, from South Los Angeles to Ventura County, before being arrested in the Castaic area.The man allegedly stole the Subaru from a person visiting a Santa Monica dealership "a few days ago," according to Sgt. Blake Cooper of the Santa Monica Police Department, but details were not immediately available.The chase started about 6:15 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department said. It was not immediately clear where the chase began. The driver had a woman with him at the beginning of the pursuit, but she got out, according to broadcast reports. 692

Carnival Cruise Lines announced Wednesday that it had canceled most cruises that were scheduled to embark from U.S. through the end of January 2021.In addition, the company announced that all cruises embarking from Baltimore; Charleston, South Carolina; Long Beach, California; Mobile, Alabama; New Orleans and San Diego has been canceled through the end of February and that all cruises on the Carnival Legend that embark from Tampa, Florida had been canceled through March 28.In a tweet, Carnival said that when it restarts operations in 2021, it will focus on cruises embarking from Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida.
