SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An autopsy report released Friday by the San Diego County Medical Examiner indicated a young woman who died after being arrested by San Diego Police had PCP, THC, morphine, and meth in her system. The Medical Examiner determined Aleah Jenkins, 24, died of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, due to resuscitated cardiopulmonary arrest while in custody and acute methamphetamine and fentanyl toxicity. Jenkins was arrested during a traffic stop in University City on Nov. 27. Officers determined she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for meth possession and arrested her. They also found a bag of methamphetamine in the car, according to the autopsy report. During the traffic stop, police called paramedics because Jenkins vomited. She said it was due to an upset stomach, and officers said they canceled the ambulance call. When the officers returned, they found Jenkins unresponsive. There was a bag of white powder on the ground near her, and a glass vial and another bag of white powder in her clothing, the autopsy report said. The Medical Examiner’s report indicated the officers administered CPR, and she had a pulse when paramedics arrived to take her to the hospital Jenkins died at UC San Diego Medical Center on Dec. 6. The Medical Examiner’s autopsy summary indicated Jenkins had no injuries which would have contributed to her death. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A team of middle school students from Oak Valley Middle School in 4S Ranch has won a national competition in cybersecurity.Coached by Paul Johnson, a senior systems engineer at Northrop Grumman, the students learn how to catch and protect against hackers. During competitions, hackers attempt to breach networks, while the students try to identify and eject them. Called "CyberPatriot", the national championship was held in Baltimore, Maryland.The goal of the program is to get kids interested in potential careers in cybersecurity.The Poway Unified School District has CyberPatriot teams at Design 39 School and Del Norte High School, in addition to Oak Valley Middle School. 715

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Scripps Ranch woman who contacted Team 10 about problems with her Samsung refrigerator is now receiving a full refund after Team 10’s story aired.Stephanie Nivinskus bought her Samsung french door refrigerator in December 2014. It cost her nearly ,000. She said she had issues roughly six months after she bought it. "It's been a headache since the beginning," Nivinskus told Team 10 in September.The first problem was the ice maker does not function properly, according to Nivinskus."The ice just gathers and collects up there. It makes it so it doesn't work," Nivinskus said.She also has issues with the temperature of the refrigerator. The FDA says a safe temperature inside a refrigerator is 40 degrees or below. During the initial interview with Team 10, the thermometer inside of Nivinskus' refrigerator read about 56 degrees."Having spoiled food is a real problem," she said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A showdown is brewing between two San Diego County supervisors about the reopening of the local economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.In a video on his Twitter account, Supervisor Jim Desmond said current California metrics make it impossible for the county to full reopen.During a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Desmond plans to ask the county to not follow the state’s tier system, which determines when more businesses can reopen.Desmond said on Twitter: “San Diego has been backed into a corner. The State has given us impossible guidelines, which will keep businesses closed or limited for many more months!
