Are you tired of needing two separate bottles to create a combination of mustard and mayonnaise? This first-world problem has been solved by Heinz as the brand launched a pair of new sauces. On Tuesday, Heinz unveiled the MAYOMUST sauce, along with the MAYOCUE sauce. The MAYOMUST sauce contains a combination of mayonnaise and mustard all in one bottle. For those looking for something more zesty, Heinz has produced the MAYOCUE sauce, which is a combo of mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. The products come a year after Heinz released the MAYOCHUP sauce, which is a combo of mayoonaise and ketchup. “Sauce lovers nationwide have been mixing different condiments to create flavor combinations that will take their favorite foods to the next level for years,” said Nicole Kulwicki, Director of Marketing for the HEINZ brand. “First with MAYOCHUP sauce and now with MAYOCUE and MAYOMUST sauces, we’re taking out the guesswork."Heinz said the products will begin appearing on shelves later this month, and a 16.5 oz bottle will retail for .49. 1052

Bird populations in the United States and Canada have dropped by 29% since 1970, signifying 2.9 billion birds lost in almost 50 years, according to a new study. The scientists involved in the study warn that like a canary in a coalmine, birds reveal environmental health. This steep loss of bird populations, including some of the most common birds like sparrows and finches, shows that human impacts on the continent's environment mean it can no longer support the wildlife systems it once did.Normally, it's hard to track animal populations this way. But birds are much easier to monitor. The study combines almost 50 years of data, including information collected by citizen scientists and weather radar data of migratory birds from 143 stations across North America. Observations by people were shared with the North American Breeding Bird Survey at the US Geological Survey, the Canadian Wildlife Service, the Audubon Christmas Bird Count and Manomet's International Shorebird Survey."Citizen-science participants contributed critical scientific data to show the international scale of losses of birds," said John Sauer, study co-author at the US Geological Survey. "Our results also provide insights into actions we can take to reverse the declines."The study was published Thursday in the journal 1315

As Tropical Storm Nestor churns in the Gulf of Mexico on Friday, it is ready to take aim at the Big Bend of Florida, an area already devastated last year by Hurricane Michael. Although Nestor will not be nearly as powerful as Michael at landfall, the tropical storm could bring damaging winds and storm surge to parts of Florida. As of 4 p.m. CT on Friday, Tropical Storm Nestor’s top sustained winds were 60 MPH, with higher gusts. The storm has a large wind field, which means storm surge could reach five feet in the Big Bend of Florida, according to the National Hurricane Center. The National Hurricane Center said on Friday the storm could strengthen until landfall. Tropical storm and storm surge warnings have been issued along the Gulf Coast from Navarre, Florida to Yankeetown, Florida.Local officials have closed some beaches in the Big Bend and issued mandatory evacuations in areas prone to flooding. Nestor became better organized on Friday, officially attaining tropical storm status midday on Friday. After making landfall early Saturday morning, Nestor is expected to become extratropical, but still bring tropical storm-like conditions to parts of Georgia and the Carolinas, according to a National Hurricane Center forecast. The path of Tropical Storm Nestor could go over the same area hit by Hurricane Michael last year. Hurricane Michael was the first Category 5 hurricane to hit the continental U.S. since Hurricane Andrew in 1992. 1466
