A mysterious metal object has shown up along a northern San Luis Obispo County hiking trail.The monolith on Atascadero’s Pine Mountain has three sides and is 12-feet tall, according to City officials.While when the object was placed there or by who hasn't been revealed, locals say it was a recent addition.Pine Mountain is part of the Atascadero Land Preservation Society (ALPS), which says it doesn't have information on the monolith. A small plane gave drivers a big fright Wednesday night as it made an emergency landing in the middle of a busy highway.The single-engine plane’s landing on I-35 in Minneapolis was caught on traffic cameras around 9:30 p.m. CT.The plane reportedly hit a vehicle as it came down, officials say no one onboard and no one on the ground were hurt in the crash landing.The pilot was identified as a 52-year-old Minneapolis man by local media outlets. A North Carolina schoolteacher who disappeared last month while out for a walk in Mexico is dead, according to a post on the verified Facebook page of the Governor of Chihuahua.Patrick Braxton-Andrew, 34, from Davidson, disappeared October 28 after leaving his hotel in Urique. Gov. Javier Corral Jurado, writing in Spanish, said that Braxton-Andrew crossed paths with a drug dealer from the Sinaloa cartel and was killed in a "cowardly and brutal murder."A Facebook page set up to find Braxton-Andrew said that Chihuahua state authorities had confirmed the death and are searching for those responsible to bring them to justice."The family would like to thank the Chihuahua Governor and Attorney General for their unwavering commitment to locating Patrick," a message said on the Find PBA Facebook page."Patrick died doing what he loved — traveling and meeting people. Join us in celebrating his life as he would want us to do. We will always remember Patrick and his joy for life. We love you PBA."His disappearance garnered national and international attention. Sen. A New York subway station has been unofficially renamed in honor of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday.The 50th Street subway station in Manhattan was retiled by a visual artist on Saturday to read "Ruth St."Artist Adrian Wilson posted photos of the redesign on the Instagram account @plannedalism with the caption, "Let's have some young positive women filling that bench…"Ginsburg will be honored in a more formal capacity at a later date.
