The strategy may have played well in front of TV cameras, but it's proved a disaster in court, where judges uniformly have rejected claims of vote fraud. The latest case ended Saturday, when a federal judge in Pennsylvania said Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani presented only “speculative accusations” and no proof of rampant corruption in the vote. After a hand recount of nearly 5 million votes in Georgia, Biden maintained a 12,000-vote lead over Trump. The conclusion of the recount means that Biden is the projected winner of the state and its 16 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press.Georgia's audit is required by a new state law and wasn’t in response to any suspected problems with the state’s results or an official recount request. The Trump team has requested a recount of votes following the audit.A law school professor says the suits threaten the future of elections because so many Americans believe the claims being made by Trump's team. 1138

Police say there is no ongoing threat to safety after four Wisconsin high school students were caught plotting a school shooting on Facebook Messenger.Four juvenile suspects from Eau Claire took part in the group chat, which police say indicated that "a mass shooting would occur at Memorial High School on Monday, March 26." The group chat included photographs of guns and "several specific statements" related to a planned shooting.All four are students at Memorial and have been referred to Eau Claire County Juvenile Intake for making terrorist threats.Eau Claire Police say the threat was originally reported on March 16. Officers and school staff worked quickly to follow-up by interviewing "many students, parents, and faculty members."The four students will not be returning to Memorial High School, police say. 837

But there's a company, referred as the Airbnb of cars, that claims to help you make and save money.The California-based company Turo is a peer-to-peer carsharing service. Christie and her husband heard about the online car rental service two years ago. With having to care for three children, they decided it was time to make some extra cash, so they posted their car for rent on Turo. "It's really just posting pictures of your car, and they set you up with a photographer if you want professional pictures done of your car," explains Christie.Depending on how new and nice your vehicle is, Christie says Turo allows you to price your car accordingly. Her Jeep Wrangler rents for 9 a day. At first, Christie says they raked in about 0 a month, which was just enough to pay the car payment. But as they got more reviews from renters, they were making enough to supplement an income. "I would say our profit, 0 at least," says Christie. "During the summer months, it can be up to ,400 in profit."Making that kind of money is great. But, Christie says there are a few sacrifices you have to be willing to make. "If somebody books last minute, it's kind of being able to rearrange my schedule to be able to meet them."A majority of the time, Christie has to drive 30 minutes to the airport to drop the car off with the renter at the airport. Another downside: a lot of miles have been put on her car. She says in just two years, renters have put 51,000 miles on her Jeep. Not only does Christie rent out her car, but she has actually rented a car through Turo while on vacation in Saint Louis. She says her family was on a tight budget. They found a compact car for 0 for an entire week.If she went through a well-known national car rental service, it would have cost her around 1 a week. PHOENIX, Ariz. -- New witness video shows Phoenix police pinning down a 28-year-old man on a scorching summer street just minutes before he became unresponsive and died.Ramon Timothy Lopez was the father of two children, including a newborn baby. Lopez had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, according to his girlfriend. He worked as a truck driver, and he lived less than a mile from where he encountered police on August 4.The witness, who captured about 20 seconds of cell phone video, said she stopped with other traffic as an officer chased Lopez back-and-forth across 51st Avenue near Indian School Road at about 10:30 a.m. that day. The woman, who also lives in the Maryvale neighborhood, asked KNXV not to use her name. She felt the first officer was overly aggressive toward Lopez."[I] felt he was using a lot of force to slam his body into the ground," the woman said. "The gentleman seems like he was still struggling, but at that point, it seemed like he just didn’t want his face smashed on the asphalt. It was super hot.”Minutes earlier, police were dispatched to a report of a man looking into car windows in a nearby parking lot. Phoenix police say Lopez saw the officer approaching him when he ran into a liquor store, threw a drink at the officer, and ran away into the road."The officer was by himself and when he grabbed hold of Lopez, they both fell onto the hot asphalt and both could have been struck by vehicles on 51st Avenue," Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said in an email to KNXV.Once other officers arrived, "Ramon refused to cooperate and continued to kick and pull away from officers," Fortune added.The witness video, from the moving car, showed one officer holding Lopez's feet to the ground. A second officer appeared to kneel on Lopez's back and a third officer was crouching near his upper body. It's unclear whether he was also on top of Ramon."He did have his left knee in the midst of his back and shoulders," the witness said. "[The officer] had [Ramon's] arms pressed against the tops of his shoulders and his legs were actually on his hand, so at that point, [Ramon] was restrained, and [the officer] was still put in quite a bit of force."Lopez appeared to be holding his head off the pavement, but he was not moving otherwise. Police said they found no drugs or weapons on Lopez.Police say they put Lopez in the back of a police car before he became unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead."Officers did not place their knee(s) on Ramon's neck and at no time was his airway obstructed," Fortune said. She added that Ramon was laying on the roadway for a minimal amount of time.Asphalt on a 100-degree morning in Phoenix can become hot enough to cause serious burns on human skin.Fortune also said it would be "highly irresponsible" to assume the cause of death. According to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner website, the autopsy results are still pending.The witness who spoke to KNXV said she also called the Phoenix Police Department to report concerns about what she saw. She said a sergeant returned her call."He let me know he reviewed the body cam and didn't see anything that I was reporting," she said.
