(AP) — Mexican authorities have closed a border entry point in southern Mexico after thousands of Central American migrants tried to push their way across a bridge spanning the Suchiate River between Mexico and Guatemala. Normally migrants who want to request asylum in Mexico are allowed to cross the bridge. But many of migrants prefer to pass through Mexico en route to the U.S., which has repeatedly asked Mexico to impede their arrival. As the crowd swelled on the bridge, amid shoves, Mexican officials allowed several dozen migrants to enter the country in groups of 20. Mexico's government has said that migrants entering the country without registering will not be allowed to pass from the border area. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Live Well San Diego is getting some new wheels.The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to purchase a vehicle that will take the services of the public wellness, safety and quality-of-life program directly to residents.The Live Well ``mobile office'' will offer disaster aid; community health services; housing assistance; and outreach to seniors, veterans and the homeless, according to planners.Supervisor Greg Cox called the rolling service a continuation of Live Well efforts that will allow the county to reach out to citizens more efficiently.The vehicle will make regular stops countywide, Health & Human Services Agency Director Nick Machionne told the board.``We don't anticipate any issues,'' Machionne said. ``The mobility will only improve our access.''The goal is to have the vehicle on the road this year, HHSA spokeswoman Sarah Sweeney said.The program will cost 0,000, which will come out of the fiscal 2019-20 budget.  A longtime program focused on feeding the homeless at Mary Star of the Sea Church in La Jolla has been cancelled because of concerns about Hepatitis A. The founder of "So Others May Eat", Tresha Souza, tells 10 News the pastor of the church informed her at the end of October that she would no longer be able to serve people at their facility, citing concerns about the recent Hep A outbreak. The Catholic Diocese issued the following statement: “We’re sorry for any misunderstandings that have arisen regarding the ‘So Others May Eat’ dinners that used to take place at Mary Star of the Sea.  A major renovation forced us to close our parish hall for the past several months and we have had to redirect where and how we do our part to serve the less fortunate in our parish.   We have not and will never turn our backs on the poor.  As a parish, we will respond to the needs of our community; we will overcome the challenges posed by the Hepatitis outbreak and we will continue to provide assistance to the homeless people and families who need our help and our prayers.”  1122
