CLEVELAND, Ohio — An 11-year-old boy stole his parents' SUV and led police on a high-speed before crashing it late Sunday night, Brooklyn, Ohio police confirmed Monday.WEWS television station has confirmed, through a police report, that this is the same boy who at 10 years old led Ohio State Highway Patrol on a 100 mph chase last fall.It started at 10:59 p.m. when Brooklyn police saw a black Dodge Durango pull into the driveway of a former city fire station. The 11-year-old fled from police and traveled out of the fire station and onto Memphis Avenue.Police pursued the vehicle heading eastbound on Memphis Avenue to Pearl Road.The 11-year-old continued to drive recklessly, reaching speeds higher than 70 mph. When Parma Heights police received a call from the boy's father at 11:06 p.m., saying his son was driving the Dodge Durango, officers from the Brooklyn Police Department canceled the pursuit.At 11:30 p.m., police spoke to the boy's father who received a call telling him that his son crashed into a parked truck in the area of 958 West Schaff in Cleveland.The boy was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with minor injuries. He told officers that he was not being pursued when he crashed into the SUV.Felony charges will be filed on the driver in juvenile court, police said. 1325

CLAIREMONT, Calif. (KGTV) -- A warning for the next time you drop a piece of mail in a postal collection box: a local thief may be getting creative to grab your mail.Around 7 pm Monday, along Mt. Everest Blvd, Dennis Fipps walked a few blocks from his home and dropped off a driver's license renewal in the blue box.The next morning, Fipps says a neighbor showed up at this door with his empty envelope.   In all, he believes that neighbor found torn mail strewn in the gutter for 8 to 10 neighbors. "I thought 'Omigosh! The check,'" said Fipps.     The check was made out to the DMV for . In the past several years, 10news has reported on stolen checks being washed: a chemical solution dissolving away the ink, allowing a thief to fill in the blanks.     Fipps called his bank and stopped the check, then headed to the post office. "Their response was that the box had been fished," said Fipps.     In that fishy tactic, the fishing line is often a simple string, connected to a rodent glue trap, allowing the thief to grab onto envelopes and pull them out of the collection box.    "It's dastardly.  I'll say that much," said Fipps. Postal officials say 'fishing' is not common, but it does happen in the area. A spokesperson tells 10news almost all the local boxes have anti-fishing security measures, and they will now be looking at this collection box to see what went wrong. COSTA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Korean-made vehicles rank at the top of the list for quality in 2019 while many other brands haven't improved, according to a new report by J.D. Power. The report also found that problems with driver assistance systems are increasing as the advance systems become more common. Overall, the highest-ranking brands include Genesis, Kia and Hyundai, which are all produced by Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group. Domestic brands like Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Dodge and Buick all performed better than the industry average, but overall are close to the average as far as quality. According to the report, all European brands fell below average for quality, especially falling behind in infotainment and electronic categories.
