RANCHO BERNARDO (KGTV) - A 54-year-old man was pinned between two cars when he was rear-ended by a teen later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The victim was towing his Nissan Sentra in a BMW when he stopped check the tow straps in the 14900 block of Camino Del Norte in Rancho Bernardo around 9 p.m. Saturday. Related: Valley Center wrong-way head-on crash As he stood between the two vehicles a 16-year-old boy in a 2000 Nissan Xterra rear-ended the vehicles and pinned him between both the BMW and Nissan Sentra.According to Officer Robert Heims, the force of the collision broke both of the man's legs. RANCHO SANTA FE (CNS) - Authorities Friday were searching for a driver who fled after crashing a Ferrari into a power pole in Rancho Santa Fe, knocking out electricity to 84 customers in the area.The crash, involving a 2012 Ferrari, was reported shortly before 10:20 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Avenida de Acacias and La Granada, California Highway Patrol Officer Jim Bettencourt said.The crash caused the 40-foot power pole to fall to the ground, leaving 84 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the area in the dark, SDG&E spokesman Wes Jones said.As of 8:30 this morning, electricity had been restored to all but three customers, who were expected to be back on line by noon, Jones said.The northbound and southbound lanes of Avenida De Acacias were expected to be closed from La Granada to Via De La Cumbre until around 3 p.m. while crews worked to replace the power pole. 903

RED BLUFF, Calif — Two people were left dead and at least four people were in fair condition Saturday after a man drove into a distribution center and started shooting at people. The two deceased people and the four injured ones were treated at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Authorities shot the man. Emergency dispatchers told the Record-Searchlight newspaper that the shooting by a man with “AR-type weapon” started about 3:30 p.m. at the Walmart distribution center. Dispatchers say there also was a fire at the site, and the suspect appears to have rammed a vehicle into the building. The suspect had been shot in the chest around 3:45 p.m. 669

President Donald Trump's confidant Roger Stone is rebuffing a request from the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee for documents and an interview connected to 2016 Russian election meddling, invoking his Fifth Amendment rights.Stone's attorney Grant Smith sent a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California stating that Stone was declining Feinstein's requests, which she released over Twitter on Tuesday."The requests, as previously stated to staff, are far too overbroad, far too overreaching, far too wide ranging both in their all-embracing list of persons to whom the request could relate with whom Mr. Stone has communicated over the past three years, and the 'documents concerning' imprecision of the requests," Smith wrote."Mr. Stone's invocation of his Fifth Amendment privilege must be understood by all to be the assertion of a Constitutional right by an innocent citizen who denounces secrecy," the letter states.Smith noted that Stone has already testified to the House Intelligence Committee. Special counsel Robert Mueller is also investigating whether Stone was communicating with Julian Assange and WikiLeaks during the 2016 election either directly or through intermediaries.As the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Feinstein has no power to compel Stone to testify or produce documents. When Democrats take back the House in January, the House Intelligence Committee may have a renewed interest in Stone, as Rep.
