Edward Peng, a naturalized US citizen living in California, is being charged with spying for China's Ministry of State Security, the Justice Department announced Monday.Peng is alleged to have couriered thousands of dollars of cash through a series of dead drops to a double agent working for the US, and to have picked up classified information provided by the agent and delivered it to China, according to a court-filed affidavit. DENVER, Colo. – After nearly two months of being closed, Denver clothing store Rockmount Ranchwear is reopening.“I liken this to being a startup,” said Rockmount Ranchwear’s owner Steve Weil. “This company started up in 1946 and in some ways, being closed for two months is like being a startup again.”The feeling of starting up, versus simply reopening, stems from the very new environment in which the store is opening. With coronavirus concerns still lingering, Rockmount and other businesses have to make a lot of changes to their business operations to more safely serve customers. “We are doing everything we know of to do, including masks for staff and customers,” said Weil. “Hand sanitizer when you walk in. Nationwide, reports of drone sightings by pilots has shot up nearly 91 percent since 2015.FAA rules prohibit people from flying drones within five miles of an airport or above 400 feet without permission.The I-Team found Florida pilots reported 288 close calls with drones last year, including two dozen in the Tampa Bay area.Kevin Poorman of the University of Dayton's research institute has been doing bird strike testing for more than two decades.His researchers fired both a replica bird and a two pound drone at a wing."If you look from the exterior, it looks like the bird does more external damage, but the drone had the ability to immediately puncture right through and carry farther to do more damage," Poorman said.
