Ensa Cosby, daughter of embattled comedian Bill Cosby, has died at the age of 44, TMZ reported and the Associated Press confirmed on Monday. Ensa Cosby reportedly died Friday night in Massachusetts. The cause of her death is unknown as of Monday afternoon. Ensa Cosby was a steadfast supporter of her father, who has been battling accusations of sexual misconduct. Bill Cosby faced a sexual assault trial in 2017, which ended in a mistrial. Ensa Cosby issued a statement on last year on "The Breakfast Club" radio show backing her father. "The accusations against my father have been one-sided from the beginning. When he tried to defend himself, he was sued in civil court," she said. "I've seen the accusations become more horrific and extreme with time and I've witnessed my father's reputation and legendary works be dismissed without any proof."I strongly believe my father is innocent of the crimes that are alleged against him and I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal. Elliott Broidy, a venture capitalist and fundraiser for President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, is suing Qatar, saying they planted news stories in national newspapers that smeared him.Broidy alleges the Middle Eastern nation targeted him because of his ties to its rival, United Arab Emirates, and his criticism of Qatar. He says operatives from the country hacked his emails, fabricated some of their details and leaked them to major news outlets, resulting in negative news stories over the last month about international connections he had and ties to Russian companies.The complaint -- and those news stories central to Broidy's allegations -- touch on a possible thread of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, which is looking into foreign influence around some top Trump officials.The embassy of Qatar said the lawsuit is an attempt to divert attention from media reports and is without merit."Mr. Broidy's lawsuit is a transparent attempt to divert attention from US media reports about his activities," a statement from Jassim Al-Thani, Media Attache for the State of Qatar in Washington DC, said."His lawsuit is without merit or fact. (KGTV) — A fundraising t-shirt made for an Escondido Police officer fighting brain cancer was banned from Palomar Hospital after someone deemed it racist.Escondido Police Officer Brett Byler, 31, seemed to have it all: a beautiful family and his dream job. But in February, his life turned upside down."He went for a bike ride, and he collapsed," Officer Byler's father, Jim Byler said. "He went to the emergency room, and four days later, he was having brain surgery."The young father of three was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Byler said the news was devastating, but the community immediately showed their support. Within days, a friend and employee at Palomar Hospital, where Officer Byler was doing rehab, asked if they could make a fundraiser t-shirt for Byler."I thought it was awesome. It was just an act of kindness and generosity, and it kind of overwhelmed us," Byler said, tearing up.The friend designed an original logo with the family's silhouette in front of an American flag with red white and blue stripes, each color representing fire, medical personnel, and police.Byler said it was a big hit. Along with the Gofundme, it raised a lot of money, and hospital staff wore the T-shirt for months."Everything was good, and then we found out that the shirt was being characterized as something that it was clearly never intended to be," Byler said.According to Palomar Hospital, a patient and staff member recently reported that the shirt was racist and that they were offended by it. The blue line in a similarly designed shirt has caused national controversy in recent months, where some have interpreted it as "Anti-Black Lives Matter." So the hospital asked staff wearing the shirt on-duty, to take it off immediately. The Bylers said they were appalled."It's so upsetting that such a positive, unifying message morphed into and mischaracterized into something that is so hateful," Jim Byler said.A hospital spokesman told ABC 10News that they support Officer Byler.
