According to the news release, BTS said data collected showed that 16.3 million passengers flew on large airlines in June, up from 8.4 million on all U.S. airlines in May.The BTS said airlines carried 80% fewer passengers in June than it did exactly one year ago.The data was by 20 airlines that carry 90% of the passengers, the agency said."June 2020 was the second consecutive month that the annual decrease in the number of U.S. airline passengers was less than annual change in the previous month," BTS reported.According to the agency, preliminary data showed a 77% decline in domestic passengers between June 2019 to June 2020 following more substantial annual reductions in May (88%) and April (96%).Preliminary data showed that international passengers on U.S. airlines declined 96% from June 2019 to June 2020, following annual decreases of 99% in April and 98% in May, the agency said.BTS says final U.S. airline traffic reports for June will be released on Sept. 11. The Food and Drug Administration warned pregnant women on Thursday of using some pain and fever medications during the second half of pregnancies.According to the FDA, these nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can cause rare but serious kidney problems in the unborn baby, which can cause pregnancy-related complications. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs include ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, and celecoxib. The FDA added that its warning does not apply to low-dose aspirin.“It is important that women understand the benefits and risks of the medications they may take over the course of their pregnancy,” said Patrizia Cavazzoni, M.D., acting director of FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. “To this end, the agency is using its regulatory authority to inform women and their health care providers about the risks if NSAIDs are used after around 20 weeks of pregnancy and beyond.”The FDA says that warnings on prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs already advise of complications past 30 weeks. The death of another Fort Hood soldier is under investigation after he was found unresponsive at a nearby lake.On Friday, July 17 at 12:07 a.m., deputy’s with the Bell County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of the Stillhouse Hollow Lake Dam after fishermen in a boat located what they believed to be a body in the water at the base of the dam.Upon arrival, deputy’s found the body 26-year-old Pvt. Mejhor Morta was located in the vicinity of Stillhouse Hollow Lake — located about 15 miles east of the Army base.An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin.A preliminary autopsy shows the cause of death to be consistent with drowning, but at this time, a full autopsy report has not been completed or released by the Medical Examiner’s Office in Dallas, Texas.Morta's body was found just weeks after officials found the dismembered remains of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen — a soldier stationed on Fort Hood who went missing in April. Officials have not said that the two cases are linked.Morta was from Pensacola, Florida, and entered the Army in September 2019, as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle mechanic. He has been assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since May 2020.Friends of Morta say his family is from the Philippines."I reached out to his sister today and they are currently in the Philippines," said Hunter Proffitt, a friend of Morta. "He literally came over here, he joined the U.S. Army to help move his family over here. He wanted to move his family.
