Jaelynn Willey, the teen shot in the St. Mary's County School shooting died Thursday evening, the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office reported. "The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the Willey family, advises that on March 22, 2018, at 11:34 pm, Jaelynn Rose Willey died, surrounded by her family. JUSTIN, Texas – Yaser Abdel Said, one of the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives, was taken into custody in Texas on Wednesday.Said, 63, has been wanted since 2008, when the FBI says the father shot and killed his teenage daughters, 18-year-old Amina and 17-year-old Sarah.Before the shooting in Irving, the Egyptian-born suspect allegedly took the teens for a ride in his taxicab under the guise of taking them to get something to eat.A police report at the time said a family member reported Said threatened “bodily harm” against Sarah for going on a date with a non-Muslim, The Associated Press reports.Based on an investigation by the Irving Police Department, a capital murder-multiple warrant was issued for Said’s arrest on Jan. 2, 2008. And on Aug. 21 of that year, a federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution warrant was issued by a U.S. district court.Said has been on the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives list since December 4, 2014. He was the 504th person to be placed on the list, which was established in March 1950.The search for Said was coordinated by the FBI’s Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force, which is composed of FBI special agents and officers from the Carrollton, Dallas, Garland, Grand Prairie, and Irving Police Departments and the Texas Department of Public Safety.Said is currently in federal custody and will soon be transferred to Dallas County.“His capture and arrest bring us one step closer to justice for Amina and Sarah,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno.“Even after 12 years of frustration and dead ends, the pursuit for their killer never ceased,” said Irving Police Chief Jeff Spivey. “Today’s arrest of their father, Yaser Said brings us closer to ensuring justice is served on their behalf.” 1758

(KGTV) -- Border Patrol and a host of other government agencies are investigating after authorities found a cross-border tunnel in the east San Diego County town of Jacumba.The tunnel was discovered by Mexican State Police on September 19 just 221 feet south of the U.S./Mexico boundary.On October 4, agents found an entry point that was roughly 31 feet deep. The total length of the tunnel is 627 feet, 336 feet of which is in the United States.The average length of the tunnel was three feet high and two and a half feet wide. An exit shaft was discovered, but didn't break the surface into the U.S. RELATED: Cross-border tunnel leading to KFC found in YumaOn top of the massive tunnel, authorities discovered a complex system used to light and ventilate the tunnel. The system included solar panels used to run the electrical, lighting and ventilation systems, and a pump system used to get rid of any water inside the tunnel.Authorities didn’t say whether any arrests have been made or what the tunnel was supposed to be used for, though the Drug Enforcement Administration is one of the investigating agencies. 1149

JAMUL, Calif. (KGTV) -- Cal Fire crews are responding to a three-acre vegetation fire that broke out near the 16100 block of Skyline Truck Trail in Lyons Valley. The fire started around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The fire is burning in heavy fuels, according to Cal Fire. No structures are threatened.
