(KGTV) – A powerful tribute to late actor Chadwick Boseman was unveiled this week at Downtown Disney in Anaheim.The mural shows Boseman exchanging the “Wakanda Forever” salute with a child wearing a Black Panther mask.Nikkolas Smith, a former Disney Imagineer who was on the set of the Black Panther film, created the new art installation called “King Chad.”The actor silently battled colon cancer for years, even while filming some of his major movies. He also visited children who were also fighting cancer.Boseman passed away on Aug. 28 at the age of 43.Smith said in a statement, “As a former Disney Imagineer, I had the honor of working on a major children's hospital initiative and Avengers Campus as my final two assignments. Seeing Chadwick's heart for people in-person, and later discovering his courageous battle with cancer, I was inspired to create this tribute to honor his life and legacy ... (KGTV) – In an effort to conserve energy amid a lingering heat wave, DMV offices across California will close at 3 p.m. from Monday through Wednesday this week.The decision to close early was made to save energy and “protect the health and safety of customers and employees from high heat impacts,” officials with the agency said.The early closures run from Aug. 17-19.DMV offices will accommodate customers -- with and without appointments -- until 2:30 p.m. on the specified days.Customers who have appointments on the specified days between 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m. will be contacted and have their appointments rescheduled.DMV officials said customers can visit the agency’s website for many services.Officials added: “The DMV is also using shade structures where available, offering mobile tickets so customers can wait in an air-conditioned car or other building and return when it is their turn, and making water available to customers and employees.During the closures and where possible, DMV employees will telework. Those currently working from home during this period of excessive heat will continue to do so and are encouraged to reduce energy consumption, especially during peak hours.The DMV is also reducing energy consumption throughout the day by turning off all unnecessary lights and equipment and closing blinds and other window coverings. (KGTV and CNN) - President Trump will visit California next week, said White House press secretary Sarah Sanders at a briefing Wednesday. Sources familiar with Trump's plans say he is expected to tour the US-Mexico border to look at border wall prototypes in the San Diego area. The eight 30-foot tall prototypes are located near the existing wall in Otay Mesa.The President and White House have been looking to schedule a trip to the border "for a while," one source said.
