BOULDER, Colo. – A Boulder, Colorado, family says their son was stuck with a hypodermic needle while playing near a creek by the Park East Park. Now, the family is warning parents to have a talk with their children.Wade Green says his four-year-old son was on a play date with another kid when he found a needle. Green’s son picked up the needle and started playing with it. The nanny who was watching him asked the four-year-old what it was and he said it was a pH meter. It wasn’t until Green’s son made it home and showed the needle to his wife that someone realized what it was. The family lives near their pediatrician and immediately took their son to see him.“Examining him a little further, (the doctor) noticed two needle marks in his hand,” Green said. “When it happens to your own child, it’s just a heart wrenching.”So far, the four-year-old has taken two tests to see whether he has contracted a transmittable disease. He will have to undergo two more tests before being given the all-clear by doctors. This is not the only time people in the community have found needles laying around.“Two days before, a neighbor had told my wife that they had found a needle at the park east playground and they weren’t going to go there anymore because they didn’t feel like it was a safe place to take their kids,” Green said. The nanny that was watching their son also found a needle along the road last weekend. At the Boulder City Council meeting this week, 1474

As usual with “this” General Motors, things just never seem to work out. They said they were going to give us 40,000 much needed Ventilators, “very quickly”. Brian Thomas just bought a new washing machine after spending time looking for a good deal."I found it a little stressful," he said. But he found a great deal. That stress he was enduring is happening to other consumers as tariffs have already led to price increases. It’s sticker shock. "It's increased, absolutely — you see 0-0 increase at least in what I looked at,” Thomas said.Appliances in particular have price increases from tariffs. Mexico exported billion worth of appliances just to the United States last year. At that time, the Trump administration hit the country with a 25 percent tariff on all imported goods. While the two countries play economic hardball, it’s the consumer who ends up paying more for everyday items coming from overseas.Metro University Associate Economics Professor Alexandre Padilla said there is debate on how tariffs will impact all. "The people that mostly are hurt or harmed by those tariffs are actually on the lower side of income,” Padilla said.People in favor of the tariffs say they keep jobs in the U.S."Should we penalize 10 million people to save a hundred thousand jobs? That's the question,” Padilla said. While Mexico tariffs are currently not in place, China's are. In May, tariffs increased on 0 billion worth of Chinese goods. 1305

Boeing unveiled an overhaul Wednesday to a software system and the pilot training of its signature 737 MAX plane, marking its most direct attempt to fix an element of the plane's original design that investigators believe led to two recent crashes. At the company's plant in Renton, Washington, where the plane is assembled, Boeing pilots ran through scenarios on a flight simulator that was transmitted live into a conference room where regulators and some 200 pilots from client airlines were gathered, according to Mike Sinnett, Boeing's vice president for product strategy. The guests were able to request test simulations."We're working with customers and regulators around the world to restore faith in our industry and also to reaffirm our commitment to safety and to earning the trust of the flying public," Sinnett said. "The rigor and thoroughness in the design and testing that went into the MAX gives us complete confidence that the changes we're making will address any of these accidents."The gathering came at a 1038
