WUHAN, April 30 (Xinhua) -- No asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 in the hard-hit Wuhan turned into confirmed cases in the three weeks after the city lifted its 76-day lockdown, local health authorities said Thursday.
Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, chairman of Mexico's Labor Party, said that the actions taken by the Chinese government to protect its people have not only set a model for fighting against epidemics but also illustrate a sense of responsibility for other nations.
No death had been reported from the imported cases, the commission said.
Wuhan had its coronavirus risk evaluation downgraded from "high risk" to "medium risk" on March 27.
"Apart from testing, I have no idea how you can identify suspected cases and how to quarantine close contacts," he said, adding that the turning point of the epidemic outbreak in Wuhan only came when all suspected patients and close contacts were isolated.
