BRUSSELS, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- China and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region are exerting more efforts to enhance cooperation between the two sides.

The EcoPartnership is a platform for cooperation among local governments and organizations under the U.S.- China Ten Year Framework for Cooperation on Energy and Environment signed during the fifth SED in 2008.
Liu Jieyi, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, made the appeal at an emergency meeting of the Security Council on the situation in the Middle East.
"Meanwhile, I hope to demonstrate the resolve of developing countries to strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and also boost the confidence in the development prospects of emerging markets," he said.
