Democrat Cal Cunningham formally conceded on Tuesday to Republican incumbent Thom Tillis in the US Senate race in North Carolina that could help pave the way toward Republicans retaining Senate.The race in North Carolina has not been formally called by the Associated Press as there are an unknown number of provisional and uncured ballots that are left to be counted in North Carolina.Cunningham once held a significant lead in polling, but the last few polls that were released before the election were within the margin of error. DENVER -- A Colorado man’s vacation in Hawaii took a terrible turn this week when he was attacked by a shark.Dylan McWilliams, 20, was bitten by a tiger shark while surfing in Hawaii.McWilliams received stitches and will be okay, but he could be named the most unluckiest – or luckiest –guy in Colorado.“Yeah, this isn’t my first time being bitten,” McWilliams told Denver7 over a FaceTime call. “Last summer I was attacked by a bear in Boulder. It dragged me out of my tent by my head.”Scripps Denver affiliate KMGH-TV spoke with McWilliams last summer following the attack. (AP) — The wife of a man who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Southern California says investigators told her he pushed her out of the way.The Orange County Register reports Saturday that Jacqueline Gibson, of Lake Elsinore, said she was vacationing with her 71-year-old husband Ernest Gibson Monday when they crossed the tracks to return to their Dana Point campground.She says he suddenly told her to run. She found herself on the other side moments later as the train came through.Once it passed, she found her husband's body.She says investigators told her video from the train showed her husband pushing her out of the way.Metrolink officials say the area was restricted. Del Mar resident, Ingrid Hoffmeister has seen it for years - the cliffs in front of her home, slowly disappearing.“We all know it’s happening, so it’s not a surprise," Hoffmeister said. “It’s getting closer and closer to the path of where you’re walking.”Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, plumes of dust filled the air, as enormous chunks of the Del Mar cliffs came crumbling down onto the beach.
