A Brooklyn professional chef has made it her mission to feed the hungry in her community and help formerly incarcerated women get back on their feet.Sharon Richardson is the CEO of JustSoulCatering.Richardson and her team were preparing a feast on the sidewalk on Hicks Street Thursday.Richardson started her catering business after she got out of prison ten years ago.She created a nonprofit called Reentry Rocks, a culinary internship program that works directly with women just like her.Richardson said she only hires women coming out of prison.“The barriers are hard when you come home and you need a job. We give back food to the community. We know what’s it like to be without,” said Richardson, packing plates of food to go.Richardson decided to give food away, during the pandemic, preparing hundreds of meals for the hungry, twice a week. A family was removed from a Southwest flight after their 3-year-old son with autism refused to wear a face mask, as required by the airline’s policy.Alyssa Sadler was traveling with her son and 1-year-old daughter from Midland to Houston, Texas. She was visiting her husband who works in Midland, according to media reports."It was just not a good morning," said Sadler. "He was screaming. He was throwing a fit. He was screaming no, no, no,” Sadler told KPRC in Houston.The plane had just left the gate when it reportedly turned back around when it became clear the young boy was not going to wear a mask. Sadler and her kids were then removed.“When you get kicked off your flight because your 3 year old autistic child won’t wear a mask... looks like I’m stuck here in midland,” Sadler posted on Facebook. “I’m literally disgusted by how my son was treated and how i was treated.”Sadler’s son doesn’t like his face being touched, and she carries a medical note explaining the condition.Southwest’s mask policy applies to passengers 2 and older, and the face covering must be worn the duration of the flight. A man "yelling and spewing some information" about Donald Trump opened fire in the lobby of a Miami-area golf resort owned by the President early Friday, authorities said.Authorities received a call of an active shooter at the Trump National Doral Golf Club at 1:30 a.m., said Juan Perez, director of the Miami-Dade Police.When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect was armed with a handgun and had draped an American flag over a counter, he told reporters.The fire alarm was blaring, Perez said, describing it as the suspect's attempt to lure officers into the lobby.Perez did not provide details on what the shooter was saying about the President. 662
