SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A college student from San Diego is in custody Monday, accused of threatening to open fire on a school campus. Last week, a person posted a screenshot of what investigators believe is a text conversation with Trevor Faison in which he sent a message threatening to “shoot up the school.” Exactly which school he was referring to was initially unclear. According to Chief Joseph Ramos at the San Diego Community College District, Faison had been a student at Mesa College last semester but was no longer enrolled. Ramos said Faison is currently attending Saddleback College in Orange County. According to Gerry Braun, a spokesperson for the San Diego City Attorney's Office, police eventually "determined the criminal threat was made against an individual at La Jolla High School."RELATED: Team 10: The City Attorney's office effort to obtain gun violence restraining ordersBraun added, "there is another pending case in Orange County with similar circumstances." Chief Ramos said there was no immediate threat to Mesa College adding, however, “whether it’s serious or not, the fact that he mentioned an attack is serious to us.”The San Diego Police Department filed a gun violence restraining order Dec. 11. Although Faison had no guns registered in his name, officers were concerned he might have other weapons.According to Braun, he was served with the GVRO when he was booked into jail Monday afternoon on a felony count of criminal threat.He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for his arraignment and has a hearing scheduled for Dec. 31 for the GVRO. 1591

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Three people suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds this morning in the Mount Hope Community of San Diego, a police officer said.A group of people were in the area of Market and Denby streets about 1:45 a.m. when several gunshots were heard and three people were shot, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.A 39-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, a 32-year-old man was shot multiple times in the buttocks and legs and a 30-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his lips, Heims said.All three men were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds and police had no suspect information. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A coffee shop owner in City Heights has planted a handful of coffee trees in his garden. He plans to be at the forefront of the "small-batch coffee" movement growing across San Diego."I'm learning more and more about coffee, and it's just becoming way more intriguing to me, and it's fascinating," says Justin Boone, the owner of Burly and the Bean.Boone says he planted his first tree about 18 months ago, after talking to friends about the idea. He got more interested as he heard of local farms planting the trees in large quantities."I guess it's a little risky," says Boone, "because I really don't know what the outcome is going to be."Boone says his trees won't produce enough beans to harvest for another 2-3 years. But he's excited to taste the first cup from his crop.Meanwhile, coffee is becoming a trendy new crop across the County.Frinj Coffee currently manages around a dozen farms in San Diego that have planted coffee trees. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A driver says she lost control of her Honda Civic and slammed into a home in Encanto early Tuesday morning.The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. on Otay Street, according to San Diego police.Despite the trail of destruction left behind, no one was injured.The homeowner said he heard the crash and had no idea what happened until he saw the destruction to his kitchen, with appliances pushed across the floor.Police are investigating the incident. 478

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A giant sinkhole on busy Mission Bay Drive backed up traffic Monday and is expected to cause delays Tuesday morning in Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and Clairemont.The stretch of Mission Bay Drive between the I-5 and Garnet Avenue closed about 1 p.m. after a 30-inch pipe broke.One southbound lane of Mission Bay Drive has since reopened.  373
