The annual New York Toy Fair showed off some fo the newest and most innovative toys from big name brands like Lego, Mattel, and Hasbro.Although, some of them may give parents second thoughts on purchasing that new toy. One of the newest - and grossest - toys is the Poo-Dough. You know, it's practically Play-Dough and it looks like something you'd normally flush down the toilet, but luckily it comes without the smell.It allows you to shape the perfect stool with two different shades of brown dough. Another highlight of the toy fair is the Pop-A-Zit. It's for those that love to pop those pesky blemishes, but this time it comes without the pain. If that's too disturbing or not your cup of tea, there's the Toilet Paper Blaster. The gadget allows you to shoot toilet paper spit-wads out of something that resembles a Super Soaker. This year, more than 1,000 exhibitors flocked to New York City to show their toys and attempt to lure in distributors.In 2017, kids went crazy for Fingerlings, FurReal Pets and L.O.L. Students who survived the school shooting in Florida are using their voices to try and spur change. It’s young voices, that haven’t heard before who are speaking up.Seven seniors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — Jack Haimowitz, Ronnie Froetschel, Vincent Frettoloso, Matthew Horowitz, Cole Sumner, Cain DeLima and Joey Mondelli — say they hope the tragedy spurs change.“The day that changed everything,” Mondelli said, when asked how he wants people to remember the day of the shooting.“I don’t want them to look at it as a statistic,” Somner said. “I want people to see this as the last one. Texas Southern University in Houston evacuated its campus on Wednesday due to a bomb threat received by the Houston Police Department directed at the university. The university announced on its social media channels that all classes are canceled for the rest of the day, and that all students, faculty and employees should evacuate campus. Houston Police said it received the threat via its emergency call center around 1:40 p.m. CT on Wednesday. As of late Wednesday afternoon, there have not been any confirmed bombs found on campus. Texas Southern is a public historically black university with an enrollment of nearly 10,000. 667
