(KGTV) -- Cal Fire San Diego responded quickly to a house fire in Ramona that spread to nearby brush. According to firefighters, the fire started inside a structure on the 16000 block of Salida Del Sol. The fire quickly spread to nearby vegetation fueled by low humidity and high winds. Firefighters responded with ground crews and dropped water on the blaze using helicopters. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames, but say the home was a total loss. A Red Flag Warning went into effect for parts of San Diego County early Sunday morning and was extended until Wednesday night at 5 p.m. RELATED: Check today's forecast | San Diego Gas and Electric shuts down power due to fire danger 753

Residents along the coast of New Jersey, New York and parts of New England were placed under a tropical storm watch Sunday as Hurricane Jose inches it way closer to the United States mainland. Meanwhile, a hurricane watch was issued for the US Virgin Islands as Maria became a hurricane Sunday evening. Hurricane Jose packed top sustained winds of 90 MPH as of early Sunday evening. The center of the storm is expected to stay over the Atlantic Ocean, but the storm's backside could scrape parts of the Northeast. The threat of wind, rain and deadly rip currents prompted the National Hurricane Center to place parts of the Northeast under a tropical storm watch. The potential for danger is even greater in the Caribbean. The US Virgin Islands, which took a devastating hit from Hurricane Irma, is under a hurricane watch ahead of Hurricane Maria. Maria packed top winds of 75 MPH as of early Sunday evening. The hurricane is expected to strengthen into a Category 3 storm by Tuesday. After passing near the Virgin Islands, Irma could make a direct impact on Puerto Rico.  1111

Recorded by another driver Wednesday afternoon, a video shows two vehicles - a car and a minivan - heading down Kanner Highway in Stuart, Florida.We don't see what leads up to it, but the car appears to be driving slowly in front of the minivan - even jumping in front of the van when the driver tries to change lanes.The two cars get to the intersection of US 1 and Kanner.Almost immediately, three men get out and brawl in the middle of the busy road."Bystanders were involved trying to break them up, and the potential of those bystanders also getting hurt during this is increased," says Jeff Kittredge with the Stuart Police Department.Kittredge says the men in the car, Eric Gerstmann and Sean Gerstmann of Port Saint Lucie, drove away at the end the fight but were arrested just down the road."Not only are you putting yourself in danger, but you're also putting other motorists in danger with aggressive driving," he says. For many folks, it shows we still have a long way to go."A lot of people are fueled off of hate and anger, and not love and passion," says resident Victor Diodato."It just shows how little respect we have for each other," says resident Joseph Neuroth. President Donald Trump’s physical Dr. Sean Conley confirmed Friday that the president is taking an experimental antibody treatment to help him fight the coronavirus following his diagnosis this morning.Dr. Conley said Friday afternoon that Trump is "fatigued."Trump is taking the Regeneron antibody cocktail, which is currently in a clinical trial. Conley said that Trump has been treated with a single 8 gram dose, which Conley said was infused "without incident."Trump is also said to be taking Vitamin D, zinc, famotidine, melatonin and daily aspirin. The Regeneron trial has only been tried on 275 patients as of this week, but the company said earlier this week that it has showed promising results.Regeneron confirmed that Trump was given the treatment under a "compassionate use request.""In the USA, this type of compassionate use program is also known as an Expanded Access Program (EAP) and is intended for patients with serious or life-threatening conditions, who do not have any viable or available treatment options, and are unable to participate in ongoing clinical trials," Regeneron said in a statement. The plan is to enroll 2,000 patients in early studies of the treatment."After months of incredibly hard work by our talented team, we are extremely gratified to see that Regeneron's antibody cocktail REGN-COV2 rapidly reduced viral load and associated symptoms in infected COVID-19 patients," said George D. RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. (KGTV) -- The forward rate of spread has been stopped after a fire scorched several acres in Rancho Santa Fe Tuesday afternoon. According to Cal Fire, the blaze started on the 6000 block of Avenida Cuatro Vientos around 2 p.m. The agency said the fire burned through two to three acres. A resident of the neighborhood was at work and said his wife called him, crying and concerned about the flames moving up the hill."Fortunately, my next-door neighbor, who's been here for over 30 years, had a portable pool pump," said Dr. Afshar. "And he was the first to arrive on action to put out the flames that were in our backyard. By the time he had it controlled, the fire department was here."The homeowner believes the fire may have been started by crews hired to clear brush.Witnesses report seeing smoke as far away as Interstate 15. Video taken from the fire shows blackened hillside working its way up near a home perched atop the hill. 969
