SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More than 830 pounds of narcotics, over .5 million and 20 fugitives were captured over the weekend in San Diego and Imperial Valley counties.Border officials said the seizures occurred from Friday, March 9 to Sunday, March 11. Voters must be registered at least 15 days before an election. If they fail to meet this requirement, they can conditionally register and vote provisionally, according to the San Diego Registrar of Voters. Voting materials, including sample ballots, are mailed starting 29 days before an election. If you changed your name, moved, or want to switch political parties, you must re-register to vote with a new application. In order to register to vote in California, you must be a U.S. citizen, a state resident, at least 18 years old before the next election, not in prison or on parole for a felony, and not declared mentally incompetent by the court. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials have identified the recruit who died after going into cardiac arrest Sunday morning.The Marine Corps Recruit Deport says 21-year-old Private Patrick Armando Vega was pronounced dead just before noon on Sunday.A drill instructor found Vega unresponsive in his bed around midnight Sunday and conducted CPR. Vega was then taken to the Naval Medical Center where he later died. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for two men suspected in a downtown San Diego shooting spree that left five people injured Monday night.According to San Diego police, the gunfire was reported just after 11 p.m. at several locations in the East Village neighborhood, about three blocks east of Petco Park's tailgate parking lot.The shooting happened not long after the San Diego Padres wrapped up their game against the Washington Nationals at Petco Park.Police said four people were in the 500 block of 15th Street, near Island Avenue, when two men dressed in dark clothing approached the group and opened fire.Moments later, and several blocks from the initial shooting scene, a fifth person was shot in the 1800 block of Island Avenue.All five shooting victims suffered what were considered to be non-life threatening injuries, according to police.Police said the suspected shooters were described as black men between 19-25 years old and 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall. The men were last seen fleeing westbound from the area.A witness in the area told 10News that he heard about a dozen gunshots coming from different locations and two vehicles speeding from the scene.
