YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An 18-year-old Ohio man, Justin Olsen, was arrested after being accused of threatening federal agents and having a cache of weapons found in his home. A court complaint states the investigation began when FBI agents in Anchorage, Alaska were researching the website “iFunny” in February of this year and saw the postings by a user named “ArmyOfChrist” supporting mass shootings and the targeting of Planned Parenthood. In June, the same user, while discussing the 1993 siege in Waco, Texas with another user, posted: “In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight.”In March, the FBI subpoenaed iFunny for subscriber information about ArmyOfChrist, and they returned a Google email address. In July, the FBI subpoenaed Google for information on the associated email address. Google provided Olsen’s name and IP address, which was determined to be located in Boardman, Ohio.Court documents say Olsen told the FBI during his arrest that the comments were only a joke. He admitted to making the comments on the internet regarding shooting federal agents on sight, and stated, “that’s a hyperbolic conclusion based on the results of the Waco siege…where the ATF slaughtered families.”According to the complaint, agents seized 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols and roughly 10,000 rounds of ammunition from the home where Olsen lives with his father during the arrest. They also found a large machete in the trunk of Olsen’s car. This article was originally published by 1501

(AP) — Amazon's self-driving robots will be roaming the streets of another neighborhood. The online shopping giant said Tuesday that the six-wheeled robots, about the size of a smaller cooler, will begin delivering packages to customers in Irvine, California. It comes after Amazon began testing them in a suburb of Seattle at the beginning of the year.Amazon said the robots, which are light blue and have the Amazon smile logo stamped on its sides, are able to avoid crashing into trash cans or pedestrians. Still, a worker will accompany the robots at first.Other companies have been testing similar delivery robots on college campuses, delivering burgers or soda to students.Amazon said its robots, which it calls Scout, will be delivering orders to doorsteps Monday to Friday and only during the day. 812

Would you have surgery performed if it was done by a robot? Robotic surgery is now an option at more hospitals across the country.Patient Matthew Canino says the technology helped his heart.“The nature of being a SWAT officer can be very taxing on your body,” Canino says. “So, you have to be in very good physical condition.”But when Canino trained, he noticed something was off.“My heart would race, primarily when I was working out, it would race,” Canino remembers. “And I'd get short of breath. And I kind of I would just stop what I was doing, and it would go away, and I thought everything was fine.”But it wasn’t. Canino’s doctors found out a valve in his heart was leaking.“He said if it wasn't repaired it would continue to get worse and would likely lead to heart failure,” Canino recalls. He thought he’d have to get open heart surgery. However, his doctor recommended a robot instead.“We can get inside the heart through these keyhole incisions on the side of the chest, without cutting through any bones,” says Dr. Sanjay Tripathi, cardiothoracic surgeon at Swedish Medical Center.Dr. Tripathi inserted this camera and robotic arms inside Canino’s chest, and then he sat down at a console inside the operating room where he controlled the robot to do the surgery.“With the robotic technology, particularly 3D high definition imaging from the camera, we're able to see these fine details that would otherwise be a little bit more difficult,” Dr. Tripathi says.Swedish Medical Center is the only hospital in Colorado offering cardiothoracic surgeries with the aid of a surgical robot. But they’re becoming available at more hospitals around the country, and patients are seeing big benefits.“Less pain,” Dr. Tripathi says. “Faster recovery, less bleeding, fewer infections.”“By the third day I was almost completely pain free and needed no pain medication at all,” Canino says. Not all heart surgeries can be done robotically, but the hope is as technology advances, that will change. 2006
